This is not user friendly. I know many other brands that make the resetting of the camera easy and very user friendly. I don't understand why you should make it so difficult to access the camera and to reset it.
I’ve had no end of problems with the cameras, very disappointing considering the hype & cost.
On the most recent update to the app, the zoom in / out (pinch to zoom) when watching vid clips form notifications is pants. If you now get zoomed, you then almost cannot zoom out or manipulate or move around the image. Nuisance.

No. Factory Default does not change the firmware state.
@@DahuaUKIreland Okay because I have a problem with the replay on two cameras after the firmware update. No motion detection is displayed in the replay. Should I reset the cameras after the update?

Hiya. Thanks for the question. That feature is default. On the DMSS APP with Video Intercom all you need to do is press the padlock unlock button and the door will open. This is on all models.

Would love Illumination mode to work only when certain parts of the screen are filled. Mine goes on when someone walks down the street whereas I want it to only come on if someone comes into my yard. I can make the blue/red lights flash on line cross between 10PM and 6AM but would be handy to have the illumination also come on at night anytime but only if someone crosses into the yard.

Hi. Yes most if not all Dahua IPC devices can work standalone :-)
My smart illumination mode is turned on and pushed on automatic, it turns on when there is motion or presence but wont turn itself off even after there is no motion or presence which is so annoying.

When exporting the device information I verified that they all have the same IP address (192.168.1.108) which I think is the default IP. In the Global Parameters step, which IP should I put on Server Adress? Thanks!!

Dahua need to go back the older UI for the camera interface. That new one is soooooo slow. It barely works on a phone and even on a fast PC it is sluggish and buggy. Only techs use that and they dont need a flashy UI. At least give people the option of the old fast UI.

There is a problem now with password. I've got a VTO2202F-P-S2 and a VTH2621GW-P and when it comes about setting the VTH password in Global Parameters it accepts numbers only (max. 6 chars) while when I initialized it it forced me to enter a min. 8 chars password with letters, numbers and symbols... Therefore you can see that when at the end I click on "Config" (in the Building Config) I get an orange triangle error icon near the VTH saying that the login contains a wrong user/password. How on earth can I come out of this? 🤯
