R1 EQUIPMENT ( RR ) via LOCAL ( NX ) via SEA BEACH SUPER EXPRESS..2nd AV CONNECTION via KROOKLYN LINE turns off the same route i drove while on the overnight shift at BPL checking branch locations to ensure no prowlers, or property damage, or illegally parked vehicles in space for library personal and vendors only

I was curious and looked up the number of NYC officers killed by year.......the number of NYC officers killed on the job each year is staggering.....and it has gotten significantly worse since 2015. The lost 29 officers in 2020. Love and respect to my brothers and sisters in blue up there. Yall have it rough.....just have each others back. That's all you can count on.

❓ Question: what do people think about bullet proof vests being safer that go under the shirt versus outside the shirt? I kind of think it’s safer for cops to wear vests that are under the shirt because if a criminal is gonna shoot them they might not think about the bullet proof vest. Because if you see the bullet proof vest you’re gonna shoot somebody in the stomach, growing, or Most likely the head. But if the vest is hidden you might just shoot at center mass. That’s my thought, but obviously we all know that cops wear vests. Virtually every cop does. But when you’re in the heat of the moment and your stress level is sky high, your brain doesn’t work as logically so you might not remember the vest. So if it’s hidden that’ll possibly help the cop. I do know there’s lotta cops like vests that are outside of the shirt because then they can put stuff on the vest. I wonder if there’s someway that shirts can be made that have holes so straps from the vest can come out of the shirt and put stuff on the vest that way while it’s still hidden. Like holding a medical kit on your back and maybe a taser on your chest along with extra magazines or something. Not a whole bunch, but enough. Anybody have any ideas on if a hidden vest is safer? And is there a shirt or you could put some equipment on if it had holes to put little straps through that are attached to the vest underneath? Or something else?
