for the next video, I'd recommend having the music much quieter! Otherwise great video!
I appreciate the feedback. Yeah, I tend to like my music loud... LOL!
@@AudioCraZ I know I did the same in my early videos too and when I watch it back I realised it can be distracting although I still can't resist having loud music in my videos lol
Yah, they were crazy when they added filters to PC intakes. What the heck???
no rgb fans?
Nope. The AIO actually came with them and I threw them in a different build.
Great video ! loved the mood and the passion in here although I genuinely think that putting your pc on your desk is a waist of work space but I mean.. I get it, it’s a nice looking build
Sing it, brother! I love your rant about enthusiastis computers belonging beside you!
I appreciate that!
How can you connect those same camera to the app on my phone ?
As this is an older unit, it will require manual configuration of your firewall/router. You will have to consult the manual on which ports you need to forward, I know port 80 an sometimes 8080 will need to be forwarded, but there are a few others as well. You will also have to configure your firewall/router to set the IP address to not change (static IP). As each manufacturer of firewalls and routers have different ways of accomplishing this, so you will need to consult your firewall/router instructions on how to do this as well. When it is all done, you will just point the software on your phone to the IP address of of your firewall/router, and the username/password you set on your NVR. That should give you remote access to your cameras on your moble device.
Ok thanks I will try this
how did you get 7 minutes out of a clunky peice of 3d printed plastic
I have the opposite problem. Just bought a brand new (2023) MD 421-II and the clip won't come off no matter how hard I press the release. It's basically permanently stuck on the mic.
You are lucky. I have several of these mics that all of the arms just fall off thinking about using them.
nice work
a store in my country is selling the aliexpress and charging the same price as genuine.
Yeah, lots of scammers doing this. I recently bought a few on eBay and the guy tried to charge a 40% restock fee, so he would still be profitable on the return. Submitted a ticket to eBay and got that back as well.
Please . I need you help me. does the aliexpress grill smell bad? I payed high amount of money for this micropohne but the grill looks like aliexpress in this video. the white box has manufacture labels on side, and mentions Made in MExico.
If it is from Aliexpress, it is fake. Don’t order mics from there unless you are wanting to buy knock offs or something to experiment with.
All here saying fake this fake that, nobody is audio engineers and only uses the mics for récord cover or play live for 10 persons, you can do it big things with fake or original mics, The talent is not reduced to one mic clowns
Whiskey 🥃 dick of your claws 🦞 smile 😊 wait for the flash
thank you very much it really helped me 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
you swapped the mics. The more silver one is the fake. 6:30 you can even see the additional hole at the bottom where the XLR Jack is mounted, which the original one doesn't have. Please correct that or take the video off.
Old beta58a has additional hole. We hv been using some for 20 over years bought from shure agent
Wow. Sounds like you need ten times as much Auralex in that room. That or get the 421 much closer to your face when talking.
mine is real. the shure beta bag is white and smooth on the inside and the made in china tag tells me it is authentic.
Both microphones in this video are fake. Do not bother to argue about which one is original. There are a lot of small details that let you identify the original microphone. Both these microphones don't pass the comparison test showing many abnormalities.
Anyone else just not understand the title whatsoever
What most people aren't taking into account...the "shine" comes from years of handling. Also shure uses thick gauge wire for thier grilles. It's very easy to see imo.
good vid. worthy box to rejuvenate and not too difficult (painful maybe) to get into. I hate the monolithic PCB model but still a nice little board. better than a lot of their stuff (Mackie). I don't know if it would work but you might check out deoxits faderlube f5 (i think) to smoothen the fader sliders.
This is "old school" mackie, why I have held onto it. The preamps sound so good, so much better than their current offerings. But then again, Mackie has been sold 1-2 times since this board was built.
Both sound the same
Both are fake 😂
LOL! "Will the real Shure please stand up!?"
So.... He bought a real one from Ali but thinks its a fake one? The shiney grill is the fake, not the matte grill
I thought the Gold Deoxit was for gold plated contacts and tracks? Also spraying the pots from the shaft dissolves the greese that gives it that tight feel, dont know whether those potetiometers have an access hole underneath, if not they should be pulled apart or a small hole drilled for access Cheers
Thank you for making this review! I had some concerns, but I feel much better using this for my wireless mic setup 🙂
Thanks for the video ! This helps
The Faka 58 definitely sounds worse, closer to an SM58
I honestly believe they were trying to clone a SM58, then put the Beta 58 Badge on it... They probaby sell the same clone with different badging and grills.
I have a few questions about how do get the ip address so I can put on the network manually? Do I need to run a patch cord from one of the camera ports to the switch
It has been a whlie since I messed with these cameras, but I believe they are on DHCP. I put them on an isolated network, and used NMap to find the IP. Connected to it via web browser. These used a really old firmware, so I had to use Firefox or IE to connect, as newer browsers wouldn't work.
Sir, I think you've accidentally switched them around somehow.. The fake mics can be spotted a mile away by the thin'ish grill's they have. Original shure mics have the thicker wire on the grills. You'll see it clearly at 10:40. Also, the blue ribbon on the real shure's are light blue, the fakes use a pale blue ribbon 10:44. Another test you can do is side rejection. The REAL beta58 will have more side rejection than a fake.
I just got one of these from my job's fire sale and sometimes inputs are static-y do you have any idea what that is?
There are typically two reasons for static. 1. Oxidation and dust/crap buildup on the contacts of the faders or pots. Typically spraying the faders will help. 2. The contacts in the faders are badly worn from heavy use. This a lot of times requires replacing faders or pots.
@@AudioCraZ ok thanks, the faders seem pretty decent so I will clean it up
I just blasted my 45 year old 22 Faders present in my Soundcraftsmen PE2217 Preamp - Equalizer, with Deoxit D5. The Faders were sitting up right such that any dirt flushed during the cleaning will at least drop to the bottom area, where the pot is at zero ohms. This fixed all intermittent problems along with fixing several Faders which were making no contact at all. The big job was re-lubricating the Faders with a silicon lubricant. WOW! The Faders now slide easier than they have in over 40 years. These Faders are of a unique style where the internal contacts are located on the sides rather than on the bottom, and they are made of two pieces of plastic that are held together with two metals clips. And so lubricating them is somewhat different since you have to lubricate both on the inside and externally as well. But, once done, they slide with sooo much ease. Next I have to fix(clean) pots and switches on my 1978 AKAI GX -630D reel to reel tape recorder, which has the famous Glass X'tal Ferrite Head.
Hello: how to reset a Laview camera Model LV-PB912F4C, it does not have a reset button. Thank you.
your testing of any microphone should be done through a software program to see the frequency response. it is difficult to tell if the range of frequency has discrepancies. also use frequency generator to test the frequencies. also sensitivity issue is a big test for any mike for feedback when the mike is far from your mouth. thanks for sharing.
hello, can you please write me some free software where I would be able to test the frequency? Thanks a lot
Have same Problem wit mines 😢all 16 say no link been email LaView for two week no response
Oh also if the shiny one has 3 holes on the side its definitely fake. There should only be 2 holes. I coudnt see the side of the one u said was real but thats a way you check instantly. U did show thevside of aliexpress beta 58 and it looks legit. Shure mics always have a matte finish on the grill not shiney.
Actully, Shure has made both Matte (Beta 58) and chrome (SM 58). The older Beta 58's from the 70's and 80's all were chrome. They always make slight changes over the years with materials. It looks like they tried to make it look similar to a Beta 58, but the SM58 knock off grills are easier to get ahold of. Just put a blue band on the grill and voila! And as an update, the knock off died a few months back. Started sounding really bad.
If you didnt mix them up, the matte finish wich u say is aliexpress is the real one. The shiny mic is definitely fake! Sorry.
holy shit this brings back some memories.... how long have we been FPS'n? UUUUUH you better bring a spatula for that one
Great stuff, thanks! I'm moving my LaView cameras from a LaView NVR to a Synology NVR (apparently LaView is getting out of the security business. I plugged all my cameras into a PoE switch, fired up SADP, and I can see & update all of my dome cameras, but none of my bullet cameras (LV-PB912F4C). Of course the bullet cameras are mounted high outside, so they are the most difficult to reset. Any idea why the bullets would not appear in SADP when they are plugged into the same switch as the domes? Any ideas to try? Thanks.
Really a bad idea ! Not cheap solution
Great product but no thanks.... my zip tie has been working for 5 years.
The real Beta 58 grille has a concave ring at the bottom where it screws onto the handle of the mic. The fake is straight.
I'm having an issue where all of a sudden the sound coming out is distorted....doesnt matter what channel, tape in, etc....just suddently started distorting the sound..very frustrating
your link to the clip is dead
laugh jiggle...hahaha
The main output fader on the one I currently have to checkout/fix is missing. Any ideas?
Still a great mod! So much fun.
