That stare today would be more like: "whatbare you looking at me for" Back then it was human interaction and curiosity not walking with you head down.

99% walk, no cars, just individual bikes and still everything worked. People talked to each other. Today all that is left is selfishness, chaos, anarchy and a state that stays out of everything. This offers a lot of space for ghettos and parallel societies that make their own rules and do not recognize the state and the laws. Pure horror today.

This probably pictures the same scenery my grandfather Jens Nymann left in 1912.

What kind of processing has been applied here? Clearly the speed (frame rate) has been corrected. Perhaps more frames have been generated to provide the smooth playback?

I was born in 1887, in 1906 the Dutch intervened with Indonesia in Bali, we were not yet independent from Dutch East Indies colonialism at that time

That is interesting to hear. I myself was born in 1909 so I have many memories from this time and when horses were used instead of trucks.

I don't think those beautiful gas lamps along the bridge, are there today. The building left in the picture have just gotten a major restoration, and it look's exactly the same as then. The chimney behind the church, and the buildings around it, is also gone today. You really se how farmer families would dress up and visit the city. It's still like that today. I wonder if I could understand their danish back then.
