    @@VioletThePirate the best one closest to there would definitely be Big Creek Park in Roswell (especially the Free-ride area) in my opinion. But there is also Chicopee Woods I’ve heard about which is near Gainesville. There will just be much more climbing and less jumps/features at Chicopee woods

    Nice job man! Are the PNW bars aluminum or carbon? I hit up Vodoo and Mumbo Jumbo last week, the heat and humidity is torture. Allatoona Creek Park is huge, I have yet to ride these flow trails, thanks for sharing this!

  • @CoastinWithNick

    @@Mtbdrumrunner Thanks man, I appreciate it! They are the aluminum bars, for some reason I don’t feel comfortable with carbon handlebars haha, but I may be overthinking it! Dude, you’re not wrong about the heat! It’s brutal doing any climbing right now, so mostly I’ve been sticking to the flow lines and working on my jumping more, and Pitner/allatoona is a great place to do so! I mean even all of their XC trails are great and I enjoy the variety. You have to check out the flow lines sometime for sure, especially MoFlo! It’s basically a downhill pump track with the option to get some air if you want to!

  • @Mtbdrumrunner
    @Mtbdrumrunner25 күн бұрын

    @@CoastinWithNick hell yeah man! Definitely need to check out moflo and the updated Pitner area, been too long. When I finished Vodoo, the temperature was 91, at almost 9pm, heat index like today, 109, pass! But I need to do more flow stuff. I understand the aluminum preference, lots of people prefer it. The Jeffsy I was recently gifted has aluminum bars, 31.8mm and 780mm wide. The old school Klein has freaking renthal carbon 35mm and 770mm wide. Both 40 rise. I figured bigger wheels and travel full suspension the aluminum bars would be great, for now it works, what's crazy is that Klein is stiff, 100mm travel 26 and you feel everything, hand fatigue was gone after the carbon bars, the Jeffsy, I feel it. Could be years if drumming who knows, great riding as usual man, keep it up!!

  • @CoastinWithNick
    @CoastinWithNick25 күн бұрын

    @@Mtbdrumrunner that’s very interesting about the carbon bars helping with the hand fatigue! I didn’t even know that would be one of the benefits, but I will look into that more now! The Jeffsy looks awesome man, I’ve never been on a full suspension but I’m sure it eats up the roots and rocks on the trails like they’re nothing! I’m actually looking to get a dirt jumper bike for the pump track and to maybe try riding in skate parks, and just more jump practice. It would be cool to ride sometime together! I mean we ride the same local places haha

  • @Mtbdrumrunner

    @@CoastinWithNick yeah absolutely man, I'm still getting used to it, the timing going into turns and brake timing, and confidence. On Gnarnia, I got past a spot I didn't know I was already at on the Jeffsy, and you just have to keep going. At the beginning I went too fast and braking made it worse, all wheel size judgement. Dirt jumper would be right in line with your riding and would be fitting. I have to get past the mental hesitation/fear of smooth flowy trails. It's from falling, and if I do any drops/jumps now, my arms don't work in unison, it's as one side is hitting early, every time, so I just hesitate, gotta get over it. The last purposely mislabeled video I did (unsanctioned area), the first two minutes, that's my strength now, it's weird, used to be the opposite. If you've never done a night ride, you should, I have extra lights, sometimes I get to Blankets Creek pretty late, get into a zone, and end up getting stuck in morning rush hour 😆... But I'm all up for doing a ride together, this time of year I'm either smashing a ride or it's smashing me, no middle ground!

  • @Mtbdrumrunner
    @Mtbdrumrunner25 күн бұрын

    @@CoastinWithNick oh and the carbon, it felt weird at first, but yeah, it just works. The only drawback is the Klein is 24 years old, with the stem/bar setup as is, the geometry is skittish on downhills, Jeffsy takes care of that. Here's the best part, the Jeffsy has Assaigais with tubes, and the front tire is on backwards, I just get to the trail, forget, and I'm like, next time! Tubeless with proper rotation would change a lot!

    Great video! Just went there today after I saw a post on my local trail group about it. They seem to have one thing in common... FAST! There are some weird "landings" that seem to send you into trees / oncoming traffic, and I had to brake to get landings on a lot of the stuff it felt like. Great trails overall though! Bring your big-boy pants if you gonna ride the other black... big drops and a creek gap (easy, but i'm still always sketched by gaps /shrug)
