    When I heard OD when it came out, I knew he was going to be something special. He makes timeless music which is rare in hip hop. That mixtape could have easily competed for other rap albums for album of the year.

    I knew Kenny for making quality rap/hiphop. Am just getting to know his artistic side after Mr Morales and he had it from the start. The media always praised his rap but skipped his art. If you see his live performances, he is by far the best live stage rapper with Pac

    Alll Dot fans knew Drake stood no chance. I broke it down in another comment section. Kendrick is the guy that rapped over a fast paced Jazz Composition and was keeping rhythm..like wtf?! He also rapped as a drunk man on "God is Gangster".....Drake stood no chance.

    of course Drake had a chance. this line of attack is not good. its weirdly demeaning to Dot's skill to say his opponent was just a wet tissue paper. of course Drake could have won. he has more reach, just more fans making noise, Kendrick could have been too intelligent and weird for his own good. i actually would have wanted Drake to put up more of a fight. we could have gotten more songs. and its always better to win against a competent opponent than an easy one

  • @terryjoho
    @terryjoho2 күн бұрын

    @@AllTheArtsy Drake never had a chance and that speaks to the level of how elite Kendrick is. Drake is known for running up his streaming numbers to keep that #1 spot, has 100s of millions of followers, “supporters and fans”, he’s a mega pop star. And with all that, popularity alone still didn’t save him. I’ll say again, he is a pop star. No different from any top 40 artists we know that just happen to rap. He’s like a Flo Rida, Pitbull or a Vanilla Ice in my book. Dot just simply held a mirror up to who he truly is. But again, real hip hop fans of and from the culture, knew how this would end for Drake. The same way we did with him & Pusha T.

  • @terryjoho
    @terryjoho2 күн бұрын

    @@AllTheArtsy Drake couldn’t put up a better fight. What we heard is the best Drake could do vs. Kendrick. It worked against Meek bc both of em are one trick pony. Drake just put out a bigger hit (along with the trolling) that catered to his pop audience and that’s how he beat him. He couldn’t Toosie Slide his way into beating Kendrick bc Dot is 1 of 1. More intelligent, more disciplined, more elite on ALL levels when it comes to hip hop.
