So in Prometheus, the engineers didn’t give humanity the figurative fire of civilization, letting the title fall flat on its nose. So, do they not start building a city in this one? Or are they just not nursed by another species and then proceed to not commit fratricide? Or is the movie just named after a ship that’s in the movie and vaguely sounds cool?

CGI/Practical - It depends on the effect. Practical effects are better for some things, CGI for others. Miniatures often suffer from the reality of physics, especially explosions, water etc. Then again, movies like The Crow and Blade Runner prove that miniatures have their place. So, one thing was invented to solve the limits of the other. It's all about using it the right way, especially when you're budget-conscious, the choice between CGI and practical can mean the difference between a passable result and a terrible workaround.

This is the worst movie I've seen in a long, long time. She has sex, all the whilst the audience knows its her infants brain inside of her. A brain that seems to amazingly grow by a miraculous speed and has come to think somewhat like an adult? All while moving and walking in this ridiculous way. The dancing was comical. The sex scenes with Matt Ruffalo were comical. Lets face it the movie was trash. Lily Gladstone deserved the Oscar, not Emma. And don't get me started on the mockery towards God by calling willem Dafoe a MAN, God. It was an abhorrent movie. It was plain stupid, the plot had no substance.. INMHO. But to the people who did like it... well to each their own I guess. But i could think of a bunch of different movies that were amazing and were snubbed at the oscars. No not Barbie being one of them either💀🤷♀️
