    @@elbarto4069 hard to tell, I am not well informed about bmi and weight %. What i think for sure that being a 190cm and fight in -80kg is not healthy for the athlete. They should change the weight class accordingly to weightxheight. What i think for sure that a 10cm difference is too much, so is better to change weight class in player for 165cm-170cm, instead than a 185 in -63kg. In this way genetic should not be a physical advantage and trust me, if they do this change, koreans are going back on top of the ladder

  • @MartialAlexLe
    @MartialAlexLeАй бұрын

    It’s the same concept but I think it’s more about occupying of the kicking space in front the of you

  • @taekwondoanalysisvideo
    @taekwondoanalysisvideoАй бұрын

    not totally the same, with one kick we aim to cover form height, with the skip side kick we have to cover more distance. That's why the cut kick is better in taekwondo as a sport, because also if it's not powerfull is easier to counter, due the fact that the foot will be at an higher spot with less time. But ofc, this video was a "bait" in same ways and both kicks are weapons to use in differents moments of a fight, if we want to push out we force a side kick, because we have more strength power

    I had just one problem that when I fight against taller player I clinch and try the crescent kick but his leg is much more taller and hit my helmet before I did

  • @taekwondoanalysisvideo
    @taekwondoanalysisvideoАй бұрын

    if he is taller, should be harder for you to score on his helmet, you have to try kicks on his armor from a clinch distance. if you can hit the opponent head, than just focus on defense and striking at the same time, so use your hands to block his kicks

    There s a video about fighting taller player when you said that you have to close the range and now you re saying that you must stay far from bigger oppenent.I just want to know the difference

  • @taekwondoanalysisvideo
    @taekwondoanalysisvideoАй бұрын

    The difference is on the weight, taller opponent is someone who has a larger range than you, but his kicks are not heavy and they can't press you by pushing. A bigger opponent, or better, heavier opponent, is slow, he can't catch you and he can only play in his distance, so you can get a better adavantage on him with hit and run strategy. This strategy won't be so much effective on a taller fighter that is not heavy, because they are fast too, so they only chance against a tall and fast player is to close the distance and strike from a short range
