Im thinking of doing this to my 2004 toyota altezza, where did you get engine mounts to suit the 1uzfe? Cheers and please reply!!! =)
@DK88z9 жыл бұрын
thanks :) - engine mounts were altezza mounts - just had to get spacers for the rubber mounts made from steel like 20mm to lift the sump off the cross member. then I was away laughing. mounts didnt break. make sure you get a 1uzfe vvti front sump motor yeh. contact me if need be.

THIS is what the original IS should have sold with, an optional 1UZ 290hp V8, so it could actually be taken a little more seriously as a stock performance sedan, instead of the aging n/a 215hp 2JZ as the top option. Nice work.
@timbraithwaite652410 жыл бұрын
the uz engine available at the release time of the original IS sedan was not this engine which is rated at 290hp ,,,this is the later variable valve timing 1uzfe engine the only UZ engine avalable at that period was the 1UZFE which was only rated at 256hp
@Slovflyer10 жыл бұрын
Tim Braithwaite that is incorrect. The 4.0L vvti 1uz was in production from the 1998 Ls and Gs 400 models with 290 and 300 hp respectively. In 2001 they moved those two cars to the 4.3L 3uz which made a bit more torque but had lower emmissions, but kept their Hp same. So an '01 IS430 would actually have been possible were it not for marketing strategy, etc.

Love it, just a pointer though, you say its a 1UZ IS430... but it would be a IS400 if its a 1UZ 4.0l... or a 3UZ which is 4.3l would be IS430
