Arthur Morgan was a man who did bad things for a valiant cause. He only wanted to take care of those he called family for most of his life. He wanted nothing more than for Dutch's plan to get to go to Tahiti to work so they could all leave and live peaceful lives. He truly cared for those people and those people left, were killed, or betrayed him. The only person he had left in the end was John and in a selfless act knowing he was already a dead man with his TB he went up to take on Micah and Dutch trying to save John. He never wanted any of this to happen and only did what a lone man could. His story was rigged to end this way from the start and despite what he had done to hundreds of other people he only did it for the people he had a heart for.

I started the game as a brutal killer, when he got sick i thought nothing of it. I was so into this game i noticed his changes very quickly. Harder too keep on weight, drain stamina so fast. Then he got super pale and couldnt put on any weight. I knew he wasent gunna live, and he wanted too do some good. So i changed my entire play style in chapter 6. Getting the high honor ending after changing so much felt so full.

When I heard the words "I'm afraid" from Arthur it made me cry. It shows how much he's changed since the start. From being cold and heartless. To genuinely being afraid to die. Not to be around for John. Even John's family. They were really the only family he had by the end.

I haven’t cried for many characters in my life but damn I cried when Arthur went. It hurt so bad. This game wasn’t the usual just, play it and it’s fun, it’s not like halo or cod, not like Skyrim, fallout or mass effect. None of it really stacks up to what this is, and I love all those but this was a damn masterpiece. It was written, built and executed perfectly, and the story is one horrific tragedy to be followed by another, but it’s beautiful.

I never got over Arthur's death which is just apsurd,he's supposed to be just a video game character but yet somehow he feels real not only for me but for a lot of other people who experienced this masterpiece.I know he found his peace in the end but it still hurts whenever i replay rdr2 or watch anything related to his death.RDR2 did things to me emotionally that no other game ever did and probably never will.Good job Rockstar and everyone that was involved in rdr2,from the script writters to the voice actors and everyone bts.Nothing more would make happy than if Rockstar decides to do another rdr game and let us play as a young Arthur,i know this maybe would be too much putting just one character in the spotlight trough 2 games but i bet everyone would love to play as our boy Arthur Morgan again

So John Marston gets betrayed, ambushed, and shot to death by the law/ Arthur escapes the law only to be killed by a combination of TB and an ass-kicking (and a gunshot to the head depending on your honor). I wonder how they're gonna kill off the playable character in RDR3 before you switch to playing as Arthur Morgan.
