    From what I've read it seems they've now managed to solve the "leaking" issue using porous titanium. Would be interested to know whether it actually works as claimed.

    Can you drive a vehicle? I'm a RBKA since 8-3-23. I have to modify my car so I can drive with my L leg. In my state I have to retake my driver's license to prove I can drive that way. Working on that now.

    Sir, you are supplying a wonderful service for all amputees worldwide! I became an AK amputee in 1957 while serving in the USAF. I find the responses you receive to your very helpful. I agree with your @morgancalvi6675, response. For myself, I find there are two pains and/or feelings. First, is the "sensation" , not necessarily pain. I can feel parts of my missing leg/foot. the feeling is not one of pain, but a sensation of the missing part of the leg/foot. The second is definitily PHANTOM PAIN. It's like a knife being repeatily jabbed into my leg. - very painful. I literally jump out of my chair!! The phantom pains would last hours on end. Not fun. A few years ago, my wife suggested taking Advil. I've had great luck with it. Now, when I get phantom pains, I take 2 tablets of Advil and the pain receeds within 1 or 2 hours. I realize this will not work for all amputees, but It certainly works for me. I hope this is helps anyone within your Blog. Side Note: I'm going to see if the Veteran's Administration will OK a Martin Bionics Socketless Socket and your Lindhe Extend Foot for my new leg.

    hi bro, do you think the osseointegration is creating more care and cleanliness to be carried out in a way.? The care and concerns need to be done throughout the process and lead to more hassle? The wound is more vulnerable, what do you think?

  • @ChristofferLindheTripleAmputee
    @ChristofferLindheTripleAmputeeАй бұрын

    I believe Osseointegration solves a lot of socket issue, but I create new issues instead like the vulnerability and you need to be careful in a new way. I’m not sure it creates more hassle but it’s a different way of living as an amputee. I hope this answers your question?

    Thank you Chris for your wisdom! You gave me an idea of how to help my friend. My friend just lost a part of his foot (and may end up losing more). I wasn't sure what to say, but I hung out for a bit while he's in the hospital. I suppose, even if he ends up losing more, we'll just find a way to adjust. I remember reading how it's very painful to adjust to being blind, but it's not very painful to those who were blind from birth. It's the big change that's painful.....I guess once one gets used to it, that's when you start living again. My friend's lost piece of foot frails in comparison to someone who lost 3 limbs, but it's very humbling to hear a positive outlook from someone who has endured that kind of pain. Thank you!

    Thank you very much for your comment. Hang in there for your friend and just like you said the sooner your friend accepts the situation the sooner he will start living his life again.
