Thanks. I've been wanting to do a modern take on the NES PC. I think there's a ton of stuff that could be done better now that 3D printing is a thing and there are several gaming mini-PCs I could start from.

thanks for the tear down , i bought one of these recently but didint come with a grip. wondering if i can make one. the device seems to start workign if i bridege the 2 middle contacts. so i asume , ground and goltage there then the others shoudl hopefuly just get conected to gorund to trigger buttons.

Believe it or not the big truck in front isn't actually towing them it's actually that little Ford super duty in the far back that's pushing them the rest of them are just steering

How do you use the novint Falcon with half life 2 please help me I recently purchased a falcon and need some help setting this up but can't find drivers or an explanation as to how to do so so could you maybe give me some insight thanks in advance

The Novint Website is gone, but the drivers are still available to download online. I would find those files (or install from CD if you have it) and test that the Falcon is working normally. Then, in HL2, you just need to enable joystick control, which will be the Falcon. If my memory is correct, having the Falcon installed will trigger some code in HL2 to bring up a secondary settings menu for the joystick to adjust the force feedback of the recoil. Let me know if that helps. If you're still having trouble, I'll go through the process myself again and make a tutorial.

@@modsandendsGG-3883 honestly if it wouldn't be too much trouble for you to possibly do a tutorial again that would be great I'm not the most tech savvy and I'm just tomorrow morning going to be trying to set up the drivers for the Falcon I did manage to find an archive that had them so I'm going to try to start setting that up tomorrow however I'm just not to most tech savvy so I am good though however at watching these videos and following along so you know I can monkey see monkey do so if you happen to have time to do that that would be awesome thank you very much and yes that information does help out cuz that does sound correct from some of the information that kind of was pieced together in the archives so yes if if you can do that that would be great if if not I don't want to put too much time constrained on you or anything but thank you for offering

I just got cherry browns in the Durgod K320 (first mech) and the one main complaint I have is how scratchy the switches sound. I tried the 67g Zealio on a switch tester from Amazon and really liked them, but I've never desoldered a board before. The K320 isn't hot swap so... would you recommend just getting a different board that is hot swap or jumping into soldering switches?

Just a bit of a question (I can't find answers about it anywhere): How does the Ice Purple differ to the Sky Blue? Afaik both of them seem to be same switches with different stem material. The blue is Nylon I think, not sure about the purple. Might you know anymore info about the difference between these two?
Just ordered some Kailh purple as the Kailh Burnt orange is starting to make my fingers numb. Thanks for covering these switches. Only 78 g Zealios are available so I'm going to pass.

I was in HL Black Mesa for less that 30 seconds and I felt so sick I had to leave. it was Black Mesa through Virtual Desktop and I will say this though, I didnt like most of the stuff on the Oculus but HL Black Mesa was almost a religious experience for me, I only managed to get into one room and it was a room I had been in many times but it was HUGE, it really felt like I was there SO as I felt ripped off when they put the price right down and even including the controllers a short time after we all bought ours I was angry. Seeing I couldn't play that I sold the whole set up, all of my friend did, Oculus lie to you and do it shamefully

Thanks. I had a lot of fun making it and was a "runner up" in the video contest, which felt nice given the single week I allowed myself to make this. I also like the idea of adding to the backstory or canon of something that you saw in game. I hope some people now think of this story when they see the fallen survivor, right? It's fun.

Tactiles have been growing on me. Nothing beats Holy Pandas right now, although jailhouse blues w/ j-spacers come surprisingly close on blind comparison.

They had a product that was similar to a small o ring that would fit between the stem and click jacket and turn a clicky switch into a super-tactile switch. They were a really great product, but are no longer produced since the company went out of business and I'm pretty sure nobody else is making a similar product.

@@mynerva2070 This might not be helpful, but you can still get these for around $5 for 70. Go to the 40% (discord.gg/uzZfEfPMyg) and go to #trash-man-emporium and pinned messages. I;d recommend them over O-Rings just cause they feel and sound better imo
