  Thank you, bro! I really liked these guys in the 90's as death metal started to become more and more focused on speed and shock value. As you said, they were way more about groove and just good songs. They did have some awesome album covers too.

  Always a challenge covering these songs. One of the most underrated speed/thrash metal bands ever, in my opinion. I would LOVE to sit down and talk to Harden Harrison for a couple of hours. One of my favorite drummers ever.

  @@skifoo I remember the first time I heard someone naming D.R.I was back on 1989 when I was on middle school. There was a punk person on my class and he mentioned he had a tape of them which turned out to be crossover lp. I didn't listen to them at that time, not until 1991 with their first Lp and I was blown away by them, specially the skills of Eric Brecht, Kurt's brother. That guy had insane drum skills, lots of stamina and energy. It wasn't until 1992 that I saw the video Live at the ritz , man! Felix Grfffin is a beast. D.R.I has had a lot of great drummers. Rob Rampy skills on the definition album are brutal To the date I still listen to them.

  @@Bacon7666 I loved the way Felix played. Kind of a unique spin on what I call the "thrash beat." Huge influence when I was learning to play this kind of stuff 99 years ago. 😁 I wonder what he's up to now.

  @@skifoo A few weeks ago I saw and interview of Felix Griffin ,it must be from 2022 . It looks like the guy has been through a lot of bad stuff, but he is still doing great despite all hell he's been. One of the things always made me ask why he left was not clear for me for years, not until I saw that interview , and it looks like when he left D.R.I , he didn't leave the band very happy. It looks like he got screwed over. It is really sad because he made awesome grooves with the band.He got to record in one of their best works. Dealing with it, Crossover 4 of a kind and Thrash zone.
