  I was in the Corps from 1988 to 1992 and kipping was allowed from what I remember. I always thought kipping was cheating so I always did strict pull ups. I'm glad that kipping isn't allowed now.

  If I were a BAM I’d shave my head just to avoid all this crap! It’s hard enough just rolling outta bed at 3:30 in the morning to get ready for PT. I couldn’t bother with my hair and all that stuff like the female Marines have to do. 😮 I guess that why they say “The fewer and prouder”, when it comes to the women Marines. I never worked with any females while I was a Camp Pendleton, but that’s because I was up at Horno, where there’s almost no females around there. I do have a lot of respect for all of them though. It’s not an easy life to say the least. For men or women, no matter what MOS. There’s no easy jobs in the Marines. Just being a Marine itself is a demanding thing.
