I have the same awning. Ticked me off when I learned this. So I spoke to Lippert. They gave me some dribble about the awning not able to support a sun shade...which is BS. Just cheaper to make without the slot. This week I am going to roll back Mt awning a quarter turn with the sun shade leading edge in it. Should work just fine.

Did you get an actual weight on the camper? My 2022 TravelLite 610 says 1459 lbs on the data plate, but actually weighs almost 1800 lbs. So I would be curious if your actual weight matches the data plate.

How do you deal with campgrounds reporting the total annual value of your RV site on your W-2? For example, if you stayed 16 weeks and the site would have rented for $500 per week, at the beginning of the next year you will receive a w-2 from that campground which will include your total hourly earnings PLUS $8000 income for the fringe benefit of site? (16 weeks x $500 per week site rent free)

BUYER BEWARE! This tent frame's sliding mechanism is defective from the factory and broke off in my hands upon initial set up. RBM'S answer for a fix was to send me a replacement part that didn't fit. If I can save one person from the nightmare that I went through, this comment is worth it. DO NOT PURCHASE!

For more flat areas in kitchen, use a cutting board on top of the sink and secure with velcro tape. Get a cookie sheet and turn it upside down and place over the cooktop., and that makes more usable flat surfaces.
