1800 hp on a 39 ft boat and only 95 mph ? Four props in the water = too much drag, four engines + fuel = too much weight...Two 750 hp inboards would do a better job.

I can't help but wonder how much those 4 outboard motors cost in total. I only guessing but maybe 25 to 35 grand each. I could and probably am completely wrong , maybe as much as 50 grand each. But 4 engines give lots of power and speed plus a hell of a lot of reliability since you can probably run this boat above 30 mph with only one single engine. And these new 4 stroke probably get a lot better fuel consumption rate ( MPG).
Those 450s are about 70k a piece
The exhaust and the engine sounds so smooth like the engines are not even internal combustion just so quiet and smooth, no loud sounds of the engines running hard or struggling to push all that weight. I've had outboard mercury straight 6 engines from 115 hp up to 150hp and the engines sounded more like car engine except the exhaust noise . But these new outboard motors are so smooth and almost too quiet. If you get a Merc 150 hp straight 6 tower of power up to 5000 rpm you hear the engine pulling and the firing of the cylinders. I guess these new 4 stroke outboards don't have the pinging sound of the old 2 stroke . But I do know that 2 strokes do have a lot of intake noise/sound , vs the 4 stroke outboards. I like the sound of the new breed of Merc outboard motors.
Nothing sounds better than a merc 250 2 stroke wide open.

Alot of moving around on them 450's.....looks like one might come off if you hit a small piece of wood or God forbid you hit a sand bar!! Which both are likely to happen at some point.....those mounts are weak af!!
You hit a sandbar at 95, whether or not a motor stays on is the least of your worries.

@@butlerproman Your answer would suggest otherwise. This isn't a race boat and is not setup for just top speed. It is probably at a above average speed for this setup, size and class of boat. Every hull design has it's speed limitations and Xtra HP succumbs to diminishing returns quickly. This may or may not be the the fastest v hull 39 CC on the water with 1800 hp but 95 mph is no slouch, you are welcome to point out others in this class with the same setup that are much faster, I will await your list of boats as I like fast multi purpose boats.
