  chirp is a different type of sonar. in theory making the sonar images more accurate and clear. I believe that is it

  CHIRP is just a cleaner Sonar, less noise and can be optimized for depths.

  I have a question kind of a dumb one I guess . I got this same unit I noticed when I unboxed it that the display screen did not have a peel off plastic cover over the screen or at least I can't tell that it has one. I've noticed light scratched on the surface . Did you experience any of that .. Thanks
