Local Knowledge Fishing Show
Local Knowledge Fishing Show
Local Knowledge Fishing Shows full episodes as seen on Waypoint TV and KZread. The saltwater fishing videos focus on the differing and often humorous viewpoints of two drastically different fishermen from opposite sides of the country. Capt. Ali Hussainy of San Diego, California is the President of BD Outdoors, the largest salt water fishing site on the web. Capt. Rush Maltz is a born and raised Florida Keys fishing guide. Each is a master on their home turf, but the playing fields are leveled as they travel to strange waters to explore and learn new local knowledge.
Follow two friends as they explore both local and exotic fishing destinations in search of a new flavor of local knowledge. They not only dig deep into the fishing aspect, but the food, people and the culture of fishing that permeate a local and make it unique and special. They seek out a new kind of adventure off the beaten path.

Enjoyed the video Ali. I have a smaller simrad set up. Nice to see how you are set up and how you utilize it.
Yeah, average person could never afford this. Local knowledge, other people's money.
Wow what a sick vessel
Exactly everything i use, except for that type hook i use ring j hooks 😎, i never go with 15lb haven't had to seems kinda scechy
Great video - I have the same set up, except 16in screens....I just don't use the system to their full capacity such as sea keeper, joy stick, etc. I have Bertram that doesn't quite have all the updated running gear. Keep the videos coming!
I can't wait to get back to San Diego❤
what pound braid do you use on the 15 reel? thank you
My dad!! Jerry Dunaway, his vision!
Its amazing to see the lagoons turning around! Thanks to all the volunteers making it happen! #teamdogooder
Can you use the same set up for say under the overpasses near Patrick Air Force base for example? I always shore fish but want to learn how to fish in areas like underpasses or inlet fishing spots. Any advice is welcome.
You are my favorite KZreadr
How do you like to attach that bite leader to your kite rod . Knot , swivel, snap swivel? Also , straight to braid, or mono top shot?
I would add a pack of zip ties (maybe I missed them) and one thing I always keep in any vehicle is a cigarette lighter with a stick of hot glue wrapped with a rubber band.
Excellent episode. Such great information. I will be doing this for all my fish
Hey, how long are your leaders?
keeps saying very easy and got me lost from the 1st minute. just put the mono into the hollow braid . why make it complicated.
That looks like some fun fishing with some ultra light fresh water PENN gear with really light line.
Clams. Someone say clams.
Two of the best captains anywhere. Ali and rush KNOW things most don’t. I’ll follow them forever they help me get clients on the meat
Thank you for all you do for our lagoon! #TeamDoGooder!

This is awesome, I love this❤
50lb mainline with 40lb leader? Also, is it ok to use mono for mainline? Thx!
Great videos, interviews, cameras, fishing on this channel. Great job
Great video - real helpful. I'm going to use your c-links idea! Question: why don't you use the "modern high-tech" anchors like the Rocna, or Mantus? Thanks.
Awesome video! What’s the name of the GoPro housing you used?
Basically same exact thing in swfl
Shimano Ocea Pencil 115 is a great small bait, tuna grade lure.
On the Carnage III Boat rod line rating is this for mono or braid line ? I'm looking at CARBWIII2040C70 rated at 20-40 line
Cold San Diego standards. I like it
thanks for watching.
Great video! There was plenty of trial & error involved when I learned how to filet a fish. There were no iPhones to use for KZread tutorials 😂
Definitely helps!
Where can we get the line vise
www.BlueSeasFab.com
Step one: slam the fish on the deck. Its heavy. 🤡
Thanks coach.
@@LocalKnowledge You’re welcome 😘
Nice one. Now if we only had Mutton Snapper in So. Cal!
That would be cool!
i think your a better fishing show, but just out of respect for blair wiggins, i have to say your the 2nd best fishing show on youtube lol. love your stuff!
Fair enough. We love Blair.
I love the idea of slicing the fillets in thirds on the bone. Sheer genius.
Hope it helps.
Great info
Glad you think so!
Gtc the best bro
We agree!
This boat is beautiful. Can I get the contact please? I'd like to buy one too!
email [email protected] and we will put you in touch with the right people.
Sorry, but you're not correct on the end goal of a dependable, well performing system. But I like the inlet ideas
Working great for us,.
Where can I find the tools that you used on your segment on how to make a loop in your holocaur, braid
The line vise is available at www.blueseasfab.com and the needle kit can be bought at most tackley shops.
You should have had the egg rolling some smoke
Nevery a bad idea!
Heck yeah ! I am having a brand new Sea Hunter built and putting in a full hooker system put in with adjustable 4500 GPH pumps !
You'll love it.
How do you get the numbers imported from a card into the app from the machine?
Having issues only a couple waypoints the I put in manually are going into app not the imported ones from a card
I do both. I sync to the cloud using app. I also save them off to a SD card as shown.
