When I look around at most of the books available today, I see chapters filled with foul language, inappropriate scenes, and sinful agendas. The purpose of my channel is to recommend books for all ages from a Christian worldview.

The Curse of Misty Wayfair was my first Jaime Jo Wright book. It was okay but from what I’ve heard from another booktuber I expected more. What would be a good book read by her? I would like to give her another chance.
My favorite so far was the Reckoning at Gossamer pond. I haven’t found another one that lives up to it yet. But that’s just my personal favorite. I believe that Chantel Reads All Day has read a lot of them!

I have just started reading Christian fiction. It’s been a mixed bag for me. I am Catholic and a lot of authors I read are Protestant. So if there’s a lot of Faith content I get distracted by things I think aren’t Biblical or heretical. I also think with Christian romance some authors write lustful things even if it is “clean.” Francine rivers writes lust filled books. Becky Wade is borderline lustful. There’s a way to show romance and chemistry between characters without making lustful.
I’m looking forward to reading Sarah Sundin’s and Nadine Brandes’ books! They sound really good. As well as Anne of Green Gables! Thank you for taking the time to review books from a Christian perspective, it is very appreciated! 😊💙

I'm about half-way through your reviews and would like to applaud your contagious enthusiasm for reading! Everyone has their own taste in the reading material they choose to spend their time on, and I'm grateful that you don't seem to be trying to ban the books that you personally don't approve of for your own reading. Sincere question though: if I understand your "clean" criteria correctly, you would have to warn your viewers against reading the Bible!

I would say that there are things in the Bible that should be explained in an age appropriate way, or maybe some stories that don’t need to be touched on when teaching young children. However, I would not warn someone away from the reading the Bible because of the content. Any content that is in there is for Gods perfect purpose. Since I believe that the Bible is the inerrant word of God, and that God is perfectly good and sovereign, then everything in the Bible must have a good purpose. When I’m reading fiction books and I warn about content, either it’s unnecessary or doesn’t have a redeeming point to it. I hope that answers your question!

She’s had falls and we ask for God to have mercy and guide her gently to His home. Her brother, Scott Hopper is fighting a battle with cancer so, he needs prayer, too. Julie’s husband, Clem is still living and is her rock and could always use our prayers, too! Thank you, God Bless! 😇

Thank you for this video. Christian Fiction should contain all that you listed. It should show how God loves us and has made a way for us to be whole through his son Jesus. The story should be compelling for Christians, for seekers, and for those that are completely lost. Because that is the heart of God. Blessings, keep up the good work.

You make some really good points here. I've read some Christian fiction where the characters attend church, but I think they've all been historical fiction where it feels like more people attended church on Sunday. But at the same time, they don't usually discuss much about what was said in church or what the sermon was about. I feel like so much of Christian fiction calls itself that to reach Christian readers, but shies away from doing more than having the characters mention God a few times and maybe pray once or twice because they don't want to scare off non-Christian readers who happen to pick up their books. It seems like if you're going to write Christian fiction, you should be all in with it or not call it Christian fiction in the first place.
I like watching others spend their money as well because I can see the books and experience the pleasure of seeing others enjoy them while not spending anything. That punctuation book sounds cool. I need to add it to my to-read list now! Love your videos!!

It is so refreshing to see a younger Christian woman realize the issues with books listed as Christian fiction. Thank you for sharing your experience and realization. The publishers are getting worse with the books they're releasing under their name, but shouldn't even be labled Christian. I see the same issue with books about murder and magic. I also understand that everyone is at a different level of growth in their walk with Jesus. There is a misunderstanding that so many unbelievers have that is so restricting, not realizing there's freedom in Christ. Sadly, a lot of the churches don't have good theology, which probably explains the books. Excellent video.
What you said about churches is so true! Christianity is so watered down, of course authors are going to write from that perspective. I’d love to read some more books from a biblical counseling perspective!

I love the historical fiction by Brock & Bodie Thoene “tay-nee” . On the mountain of the Lord is set in current times and ties in to Biblical prophecy. Zion Covenant (Vienna Prelude) series about pre-WW2. AD Chronicles about the time of Jesus. And so many more! ❤❤❤❤
