Separate the egg whites in a bowl only use yolks in you mixture when done let it cool a bit while beating eggwhites to soft peak. Fold into your mixture in 2 batches. Add to crust and bake again for 20 to 25 minutes then sprinkle cinnamon. Filling will be much lighter and smoother 😊

Hi Again, I wanted to let you know that the apple fritters turned out “wonderful” My kids and grandkids loved them….They were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside…..So I want to thank you so much for your great recipe…will make again for sure, but will try to add even more apples that I did today…I doubled the ingredients and the apples too, but my grandkids said “Nonni, can you add more apples next time” so I know that the apples were not easy to incorporate, as they were sticking out of the dough when I mixed them in, but I chopped them really fine into cubes….Thank you again….Blessings to you!!!
