    do the r28/c11 mod to the phase 90 to remove the depth and mid range, then you can get a classic phsycidelic script sound instead of a bad muddy tremelo sound with it

    A bery well thought through rig you have created there. I had an early Mistress but the signal drop and noise was too much for me, so I bought a mini pedal (9v) and it works really well.

    Alan, where in the signal chain does the Boss FS-7 foot switch go and what are you using it for?.....I didn`t see it in the wiring diagram.

    I hope you wouldn't mind some questions about your rig. My intuition tells me that the Blues Driver is on a lot of the gain patches, yes? What function does that Boss A/B switch perform? Does your Volume Pedal function as a stereo unit? You have got a great rig there. Thanks for sharing!

  • @alantarpey5173
    @alantarpey5173 Жыл бұрын

    Hi! You are right - the blues driver gets used a lot for gain stacking. The Boss A/B is used to change patches on the DD500. And the volume pedal works in stereo in as much as both the 'wet' and 'dry' signal paths run through it separately.

  • @mobydick3895

    So you are using RT-20 as the Univibe(?) and you mentioned this is what a Vent II might be used for as well?

    Really interesting video! I tried wet/dry myself, which sounded awesome on stage but didn’t work as well as I’d hoped through front of house because successive sound guys didn’t get the balance right between the two amps - so my mix was always too dry. I’ve since gone back to a single amp, so that I can manage the delay/modulation levels myself via my presets. Always good to learn from other Floydy guitar players though! Thanks.

    You'll LOVE that wet/dry set up. I've got that set up through my Hiwatt/Hitone and Yamaha RA200. Sounds absolutely amazing. On a different level. Great video. I love learning new things. Based on your setup, I'm now going to add a few more pieces to my board and you have me rethinking the order on some of my pedals. Really liked that suppressor tucked underneath. Cheers mate

La mia pedaliera inizia con CS3 - Boost Med Drive - Muff Whren cuff - BD2 - Dist Nabla 1987 - Phase - Flanger - CHORUS 1 - CHORUS2 - DELAY 1 - DELAY2 - REVERB .. Suona bene .. Ma non riesco a far fischiare il Muff... Cosa consigli ? Complimenti per il tuo lavoro. Un caro saluto

    Fantastic Video Alan - well done mate. Great explanation and patch-samples of What? you use, Where? How? and Why? Brilliant! We have a Tribute Band here in NZ - The Pink Floyd Experience... and it's always a pleasure to spend an evening "experiencing" the sites n sounds of my favourite band and some of the Greatest Songs and Guitar Tones in History. I've been was extremely fortunate to experience Pink Floyd "Live" firstly, in Quadraphonic here in NZ at Western Springs Stadium... and my favorite concert of all time... in 1994, the Earl's Court "Pulse" concert - I get quite emotional re-listening to it - even after all these years! All the best for upcoming concerts you guys have planned... appreciate your efforts in keeping the songs, music and glorious tones of "The Greatest Guitarist Ever" alive to experience, since David's retirement from Pink Floyd Shows... Thank you!

    Hi Alan, are you able to advise on a Gilmour board im having putting together. Gigrig are building it - but i have to source the pedals. Ive always used a Clapton strat and driven the amp with no pedals apart from amulti effects thing i had for a cover band when i had to play songs by multiple bands ( and a wah ). Be very helpful to have a chat. take care

  • @alantarpey5173

    Hi PAJ. My best advice would be to watch some videos on the excellent youtube channel called That Pedal Show. But in general you need to be researching pedal order and gain stages - stacking your gain pedals. For Gilmour I'd recommend at the very least you'll need a compressor, some sort of tube screamer, some sort of big muff, a flanger, and delay. Also, check out gilmourish.com it's a fantastic resource. (And sorry for the late reply, I don't review my channel very often).

    Masterful. This song doesn't need the fastest playing technique but sounds terrible if all of the many bends aren't exactly to right pitch. Plus there's the speed of the bend and release that needs to be just right. So many other covers of this song don't get this right. Would love to find out more about your setup, thanks!

    You could put a tuner/buffer at the end of the chain, that woul simultaneously give you the tuner, buffer and mute function all in one pedal.
