Yes, tawbah/islaam deletes even kufr and shirk. Many companions were mushrikeen, but became the best of people.

When it comes to Islam we have to do what Allah and our beloved prophet told us to do, if you show them that Islam has changed you for the better, be a better person and tell them this how we are ment to act , you could start to wear a hat u till they get used to it and say to them this is your decision and wear it sometimes even if they get upset after a while they will have to just give in,

Fasting is very healthy. Indian Hindi knew this 3500-4000 ago. I fast myself on a regular basis and when you get used to it, it feels so good in every sense.

im 14 yo i was a christian for most of my life i struggled with this same exact problem i rlly feel like killing myself i stopped believing in the bible bc it was not helping me at all it feels weird to just hop religions like that my parents wouldn't be happy if i switched religions but i know god is real but dont know who to choose i need help like right tf now i have no one / nothing to live for accept boxing and i dont want that to be my god but is there anyone here that can help me bc i cant help myself i have done everything i can do to try to be happy no one in the world knows that i have this problem i just dont know what to do anymore i am the only person i have to talk to bc god never answered can someone help

This story of Ukasha is from a fabricated hadith. However, there is a similar incident happened to Usaid bin Hudhair and not Ukasha (Sunan Abu Daud 5224). Here is the excerpt regarding the status of the hadith: "Among the scholars who evaluated the hadith: * Imam Ibn Jauzi said the hadith is fake and may Allah SWT punish anyone whose intention is to harm the shariah with cold confusion and speech which should not be referred to be from the Prophet PBUH or his companions. (See al-Mawdhu’at, 301/1) * Imam Ibn Hajar al-Haithami said that Abd al-Mun’im bin Idris is a liar and fabricator of hadith. (See Majma’ al-Zawaid, 31/9) * Imam al-Suyuthi evaluated the hadith or narration as fake. (See al-La’aali al-Masnu’ah, 257/1) * Imam Ibn Iraq al-Kinani said one of the narrators in the hadith is a liar and he is Abd al-Mun’im bin Idris. (See Tanzih al-Syari’ah, 331/1) * Imam al-Syaukani in his book said the hadith is damaged because of Abd al-Mun’im bin Idris bin Sinan. (See al-Fawaid al-Majmu’ah, 324)" Wallahua a'lam.

This story of Ukasha is from a fabricated hadith. However, there is a similar incident happened to Usaid bin Hudhair and not Ukasha (Sunan Abu Daud 5224). Here is the excerpt regarding the status of the hadith: "Among the scholars who evaluated the hadith: * Imam Ibn Jauzi said the hadith is fake and may Allah SWT punish anyone whose intention is to harm the shariah with cold confusion and speech which should not be referred to be from the Prophet PBUH or his companions. (See al-Mawdhu’at, 301/1) * Imam Ibn Hajar al-Haithami said that Abd al-Mun’im bin Idris is a liar and fabricator of hadith. (See Majma’ al-Zawaid, 31/9) * Imam al-Suyuthi evaluated the hadith or narration as fake. (See al-La’aali al-Masnu’ah, 257/1) * Imam Ibn Iraq al-Kinani said one of the narrators in the hadith is a liar and he is Abd al-Mun’im bin Idris. (See Tanzih al-Syari’ah, 331/1) * Imam al-Syaukani in his book said the hadith is damaged because of Abd al-Mun’im bin Idris bin Sinan. (See al-Fawaid al-Majmu’ah, 324)" Wallahua a'lam.
