    Oil was put in the turbo. So far it is working well.

    I have the same issue on my car. I dont mind about the turbo and the job replacing it. Im only worried if any metal gets into my engine… Hopefully it shatters to million pieces before it heads to the combustion chamber. Car works great btw

    Hello. Do you have access to the ST246 calipers in your country?I read somewhere that the twin piston design from the ST246 Caldina will bolt onto those avensis calipers. ST246 also used a 295mm rotor however it is slightly wider at 28mm just like the original ST202 chassis (less likely to overheat)

    At first I tightened everything gently and then I tightened it all the way. and got OK

    Toyota has kept the safe offset for all their FWD vehicles since the 94-99 celica. yes this includes all avalons, camry, C-HR/UX200, prius/ct200. every fwd platform.

    About only 105000km. Probably in the winter the condensate water in the EGR pipe froze and a piece of ice flew into the turbo.

    @@madebytasa6989 Aah right, I read something about this. Some people in cold climates mentioned installing the N47 air intake, should fit the same and has less baffles that can collect water. The baffles are supposedly to reduce noise, but they noticed no/little difference

    I'm going to be doing this job on my Beast in the summer. What brand of replacement valve cover gasket did you use? Any leaks since the new gaskets were fitted? Also, I think BMW recommends applying a little sealant at the corner of each 'half moon'.

    I used ELRING gaskets (19,76 € + 20,53 €). Only brand what I was able to recive quickly from the store. I didnt add any sealant and so far no oil is leaking. Good luck with the change🙂
