I have 4 cup brikka and 2 cup mini express and they are both fantastic though i thought the mini was slightly tastier. I think being 2 cup made the process over and done with quicker. Am happy with both and they each have their place.

Many thanks! I feel like I have a much better understanding of the building. Thanks largely to you, I will be canceling the contract I signed TODAY with UNITE-STUDENTS for a studio in one of their properties 15 minutes north and will instead go for one of these double studios that I was just offered 8 hours ago. I've never visited it, so I was worried that it would be old and ugly, but it's quite nice and pleasant!

Which one is good?decide to buy but kinda confuse
@jamesmckoy11 жыл бұрын
it has a weight which prevents coffee flowing immediately into the top chamber as it would with a normal moka pot. The pressure builds which improves extraction of the coffee. It tries to simulate to a certain degree what an espresso machine does. When the pressure builds sufficiently it forces the weight up and allows the coffee to flow into the bowl. The grind is the most important factor, too fine and it will not build pressure very well, poor crema and too fine it will over extract.

I make equally great coffee with both if fresh ground beans. Maybe my mini 2 cup taste slightly better than my brikka 4 cup, but i think the cup size has to do with it.

I wish mine actually worked properly. I have to manually pull up on the pressure release otherwise mine will brew for over five minutes and then it will rupture everywhere. How long does yours brew before it's ready?

difference between this and a normal moka pot..? apart from the crema.

@ankonsta first i have to say that those aren't esspresso , an espresso is made with high pressure water , but if you want some kind of crema , you need to eather get a espresso machine or to get the Bialetti Brikka ! Cheers !

@TheSweetalchemist There are so many variances influencing the quality, such as heating sources, heating power, brewing time, amount of coffee dosing (grind factors), type of coffee bean...etc. I can't tell you how exactly to make a good one, but in my experiences I would said the most important one is brewing time. Don't over extract it, then you can make a acceptable and not bad shot.! Hope my answer is helpful! :)

Is there a good shot, bad shot factor when using this moka pot?
