Making these videos is very time consuming, so try to be patient I'm doing what I can. With every new video I'm trying to improve the stuff-go ahead, watch some older video and look at the latest. There is a difference huh? (or maybe there isn't)

Most issuses you have If you change the oil all 30k km!!! If you change 10-15k with good Oil, than you have 90% no problems! My Golf mk7 with over 270k and Stage 1, have nothing!!!

My Audi Q7 tdi curently has 450,000kms and still runs amazing. Has a rocker cover gasket leak but thats a day or two job and not expensive if you do it yourself.

Sadly i see to much broken and blown headgaskets and warped heads on 1.8 petrol engines ( opel ones z18xep ) , thay are not the best sadly

Quality went up actually. Look at F10 vs E60 quality for example, the F10 is way better. Or the equivalent 7-series where the F01 is pretty damn good and if you ask anyone in the know if you should buy an E65 they shout at you for even thinking about it.

@@Rimkus7 I own an F20, practically the same car. It's been perfectly reliable for 1.5 years so far, even has the so-called worst engine, the N13B16 with a remap. Oh and it's got 200k km's on it and it has not been cared for well by all the previous owners. Look at statistics, they were the literal best in their class for reliability when they were new and have a VERY good reputation on the used market, you might not like it but those are just straight up facts. Yeah they have a lot of different things that can break but they do so rarely, don't mistake number of possible issues for things being likely to break.
@@kristoffer3000 Your particular car being reliable for you is a sample size of 1. It means nothing. And i would like to see the statistics you've mentioned, because a quick google search results overview on reliability, does not paint the "reliable" picture. Even in this video, stuff like sunroof drains clogging up and water leaking into interior, that is common issue on ALL vehicles from all manufacturers, but this model has advanced stuff like drain hoses popping off lol. Also broken dipstick plastic?! Come on... How often do you see that as a possibility on other vehicles?
@@Rimkus7 You see that fairly often actually, most people just don't know about it and don't mention it. And yeah, I brought up statistics for a reason, I know my anecdote in the big picture means nothing but I brought my car up because I own one so I know what I'm talking about. If you want proper problems then look at for example a Jaguar X-Type where the drains rot the car out BY DESIGN, water literally pools in the rocker panel that is unpainted and untreated metal on the inside.

I actually replaced my cooler at the stealership for free 2 months ago, and it hasn't lost coolant since then, but up to until then it was losing around 0.1l every month... f30 318d lci
Which years models are the most reliable ones for engine and electrical parts?
My f30 320d ed 2014 already has 340k km, only clutch, egr recall, intake manifold cleaning and valve cover gasked was changed. No chain rattle, still sturdy when i checked while fixing VC gasket. I perform 15k km oil changes - oil and filters from official bmw dealer (bmw ones) since 200k km. Maybe a turbo a bit whiney when its cold

I have a BMW F11 520d xDrive with the B47 engine. I replaced the timing chain preventively at around 230.000km , it was still good, and replaced the EGR cooler at the BMW dealership for free as a part lf the recall. The car is doing great, done about 30.000km with it, mostly highway (it is a big car) and with regular maintenance (10.000km) it should be going strong. If you take care of your car, it will take care of you.
