How is this Real Time if you have to "first, prepare some vocals in your DAW as your source material"? Doesn't real time mean the changes are applied as you record them?

The only thing you seemed to miss with your adjustments of being imperfect to create the perfect vocal harmony is…pitch. No singer/singers sing exactly in pitch. Timing is variable, timber is variable, and pitch is variable. I wish you didn’t keep using the word perfect in your examples, it’s kinda annoying.

The only way you can learn anything is to do it yourself. KZread will kill you. I know how you feel and these videos only go so far and provide very little. I see in above posts they don't have the Synth V forum anymore. When I last used this software you would be able to go there and get some straight feedback. I think there is a management issue about the organization of its product. I think the visually it's a mess, it's all cluttered and disorganized. Still, back to my first point, I think you can figure out a way to make it work with trial and error.

My comment was deleted, so I'm reposting it. I was about to buy Sinthesizer V Pro at the end of June of this year 2024, but I didn't buy it because both Dreamtonics Co., Ltd.'s technical support and its representative Kanru Hua didn't answer some questions I had about both Sinthesizer and Vocoflex (which was in beta version), so I lost my confidence in the purchase, since if they don't attend to a sale, they would be even less helpful if I required any support after purchasing the software. Even so, I sent them reminders to please answer my questions since I was very interested in purchasing the software, but they have ignored my emails to this day.

I agree. The raw voice source is so far from being a good example. The barebones production on the track itself and the lack of effects make it less appealing even though the product itself has some great and unique features. and yeah... the guy has a voiceover that doesn't fit

I was about to purchase the Sinthesizer V Pro software, but I needed to clarify some questions that support never answered. If ignoring my email was the way to treat a customer who was going to buy the software, I lost trust in Dreamtonics Co., Ltd as I assumed that support would not help me if I needed help. I am still waiting for a reply to my email, which was even reviewed by their representative Kanru Hua. What a disappointment.

From what I've seen in their Japanese video of the same plugin, it's loaded from short (~20s) audio files of clean vocals. Which makes it SUPER flexible and useful.

My initial impressions: I bought Vocoflex and my credit card is not the only thing crying. I am pretty disappointed. The whole product seems unfinished, which is surprising for Dreamtonics. The voice cloning is significantly worse than other (free) methods like RVC and the sound quality can have many annoying pops (almost like a really bad early UTAU VB, especially when breaths are involved). SynthV has been excellent since announcement, but especially with AI voicebanks, I think it's kinda reductive to put realistic SynthV vocals through a program that sounds so artificial.

  • @LiamLlamaEVEC

Also, the activation is super invasive?? Like, I had to give some random company a photo of a government issued ID. I understand the want to prevent software piracy, but it just seems like waaaaay too much. I'm not mortgaging my home, it's a piece of software 😭😭😭

@@ladyville3 It’s sorta the fun part of AI. We can mock up original songs we make in the voices of other artists so we can imagine what they’d sound like in their vocals. Could be very useful for showing to a producer or label etc.

@@LiamLlamaEVECi think the purpose of vocoflex is different from RVC. it’s low latency and can be performed in real time unlike RVC, and isn’t meant to fully transform a voice to a target.

I bought it and, sadly, I don't think I'll be using Vocoflex. It would definitely be useful if you want to create a new voice, but overall, it seems unfinished, which is surprising given how well Dreamtonic's other products work. The voice cloning is just bad and the sound quality can have many crackles and pops (almost like a really bad ~2009 UTAU VB). Maybe I am just spoiled with SynthV Pro and the excellent AI voicebanks that have been released, but I don't know why you would ever use Vocoflex with SynthV. SynthV creates hyper realistic vocals, but running them through Vocoflex makes them sound flat and clearly artificial
