My 1984 Honda Elite 125 is highlighted in a lot of my videos! I also include my other scooters. The others I currently own are a 1999 Honda Helix, 1987 Honda Elite 50S, 1987 Elite 50, 2010 Honda Elite 110, 2007 Yamaha Morphous and last but not least a 1989 Honda Elite E

    Bought a non-running 2001 Helix about a month and a half ago. I’ve been slowly going through it and your videos have been, not only incredibly helpful, but also quite inspirational. Your Helix turned out phenomenal! Thanks for the slow meticulous delve into a really cool bike.

    …Nope. I take it all back. You’re a stone-cold jerk for skipping over cleaning the grease out of the variator! …That was the single nastiest job I’ve done on this bike so far!! I guess it’s my own fault for not taking the time to find that purple Simply Green you’ve mentioned many times. …Lesson learned. I’m picking some up tomorrow morning! Thanks again!

    Great video! I'm sure that I'm not the only one who would be interested in a follow up video showing how that Chinese clutch is holding up. Also where is that place in Michigan that resurfaces the weight arms? Was it JW Parts Plus? The contact form on their website is broken and their FaceBook page hasn't been updated since '19, and had several complaints about slow turnaround. They do have an eBay site.

  • @rubytheelite
    @rubytheelite28 күн бұрын

    As I mentioned in my comeback video, the Elite 250 basically sat for a while when I stopped making videos. The mileage on it isn't much to give a good read on the clutch. As far as JW parts plus? They did a great job on my Elite 125 clutch, but that was years ago. Their customer practices back then were excellent! I have no idea how they are now.

    I like the blue. But you are right, you will have to give it time to see how it does for you. Most airplane cockpits use red and orange because it causes less glare at night. But in a car or motorcycle dash there is much less going on, so it may be fine. Always like to see someone make their vehicle their own.

    No, it's not used at all on current Honda scooters. It's main reason for being there was to keep the grease from exiting. Grease is no longer used. It was a bad idea to begin with. Your welcome of course to reinstall it, but I no longer have it on any of my bikes. It has no purpose except to restrict and keep grease inside. That's it. I've been removing them for more than 25 years. No issues at all.
