Thanks for this information. However, at least two of these towns have a lot of crime. If you would add the crime rates of the towns that would be appreciated.
I totally understand your concerns, however Real estate agents cannot provide information about neighborhood safety or whether a neighborhood is a good place to live because this information could be interpreted as a reference to race or ethnicity, which is protected under the Fair Housing Act
Thank you! We listed our 2 year old home a week ago in Bluffton-no showings yet. Appreciate the data
You are quite welcome.....we're y'all off to?
I live in Bluffton-
Love me Bluffton
Good stuff, had no clue about Clue report.... :)
It's been under the radar....it is an interesting report to read. You can get yours free, you just need to ask
Love Charleston, SC but I’d give Georgia the nod. Mountains, coastal Georgia, beautiful inland lakes, and a modern metro area to enjoy all the major professional sports. From any where in GA it’s easy to make it to the ocean or gulf. I’m partial to the North Georgia mountains and have a home here. Regardless, Charleston and Greenville SC are wonderful places too.
I love GA too. I had a "cabin" in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Yes, sadly we don't have any pro sports, but still get our fill with college level. Glad to hear you had an enjoyable visit.
bs. i live in aiken sc , everything is high as hell. energy, housing taxes etc,
Agreed prices are high everywhere.....but Aiken wasn't on the list
These may be the cheapest, but who wants to live in a small town with high crime rates. Dylon, SC ranks at the top when it comes to all other small towns in the US. Orangeburg is horrible as well and all these towns have one thing in common.....a high percentage of a certain demographic of people causing most of the crime.
POV: you’ve been to all of these places- also I care! Thanks!
@@ReaganCalliham Yep....been to all....Thanks!
Where does Aiken rank?
@@chrisf5007 It didn't make US News cut, but one of my favs.
If tou not from here dont come here and tell me i talk funny in my hometown. Leave all your old ways where u left. We dont care. Its a good ole boy system here. Ps bring tour skeeter spray😂
Lol
Just got back from Charleston and this was my first trip. We loved it. We live in central Florida, but Charleston is so historic with its huge houses in the downtown area that have been around for several generations. So many things to see and enjoy.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it here! Yes, CHS is much different than FL.
This woman seems like she would be insufferable to be around.
I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for...
@@GabrielAnthony-09 That's actually quite impressive, I could use some Info on your FA, I am looking to make a change on my finances this year as well
Sorry to hear about your struggles. Are you in S.C.?
Thanks! Good info!
Excellent
Thanks!
Joseph was quite rude to wear a mask. If he had TB, then he should have quit.
No TB just covid "protection"
Who cares?
Lol
Thank you!
Works for me. No property tax bill.
Nope!
Too many liberals moving here bringing there political ideals with them.
Ahhhh.....I think most are coming here to leave those behind
Trump called all them suckers and losers
Your better off to rent !
I'd rather not make an investor more more, and put that equity in my pocket (along with tax credits)
@@RetirementLifeSouthCarolina I never thought about that. Hmm. You gave me something to think about; tax credits.
Home prices are just too high these days !
Yes, the national average keeps rising. So does S.C. prices, but still well below the national avg,
@@RetirementLifeSouthCarolina You right !
Hi. Why you have to pay “personal property tax” on vehicles ? Thanks !
It's just the way S.C. has it structured. The odd part to me is that if you own a boat with an engine you pay personal property tax on both the boat and engine separately.....go figure 🤷♂
@@RetirementLifeSouthCarolina I learned something new today ! Interesting fact !
Stop telling people they're welcome here. Newcomer's have destroyed our great state and turned it into the parking lot they've all moved away from. We need our own WALL.
I live in FL, so the hurricanes and lightning are not as bad as here. The cost of living and car/home owners insurance is making it unaffordable. I am a Republican. How does SC compare? Does SC get snow?
@iluvutube4886 I used to live in FL. Yes, hurricanes and lightning are worse in FL. Many people are relocating to SC for those exact reasons you mentioned. SC is still "Ruby Red". Occasionally there is some light snow in the upstate, it typically does not stay around for more than a couple of days.
In the summer it is very busy. Vacation people. MB is not the best.
Yep.....lots of vacationers during season. N.Myrtle and Surfside are better
This is wonderful information. I have never been to SC but it has called me to move there for years. Not sure why, but I'm fascinated with low country beauty. Not to mention I've lived in Michigan's snow tundra my entire life and I'm over it. I don't ever need to see another snow flake. I told my husband in 4 years we're headed to SC and he's all for it. So I'm planning now. I want to live in a resort style active community, with water views. 1700 sq feet 3 bedroom 2 bath home with land to enjoy grandkids on when we get blessed with them. We have 4 adult children and we want some space to accommodate visits and extended stays. By day, I have a wonderful career as a Director of Education and by night I'm a historical fiction writer so I want to be a bit close to Charleston. I also want a diverse community with arts, culture and physical fitness as a staple of the community. I am working hard to launch two businesses to save money and secure finances while maintaining a career I love. You give me hope that I can do this. I'm glad I found your channel and will look up Treetop and SunCity Hilton Head. Thank you for your thorough information. Please send books to [email protected]
I had no idea Seneca was home to the Episcopaleon red heifer and the morose Dwarf of Attinbourugh ❤ (ram cat alley however I do remember thankfully not vividly bad things happening and feeling joyful again would be at least a mile away or tucked away like a peanut of hope in a vast incomprehensible orchid of peanut plants 🪴
Myrtle Beach is full of drugs, homelessness drugs and crime. You’re lying man
Damm Yankees!!!!
Regarding the homestead increase: We recently read an article where the new bill for 75000 homestead would only apply to those who have lived in SC for at least 5 years. So not entirely good news for those who haven't moved there yet.😢
Hi Jon I'm not aware about the 5 year timeline, but I will check it to see if the proposed bill has been amended.....Thanks!

Jon, I've been searching for the article you mentioned but to no avail. Can you send me a kink.....my email is in the description....thanks
All you care about is having more money for yourself and you don’t care about the necessary taxes that goes towards school districts and educating and feeding our future generations so that they can find happiness and success in their own time. Disgusting
I believe you are misguided. Any loss of income from property tax is replaced with revenue from other over budget sectors. Please watch all videos to be completely informed
Love Henry’s
One of my Favs
Charleston is awful. Nowhere to park, no bathrooms in target and forget about going to the beach on a weekend. You will never find a spot.
Sorry for you. But not really sure why bathrooms in Target are a thing. Beaching on the weekend can be a challenge, but a well thought out plan helps
@RetirementLifeSouthCarolina I have been to over 20 states and never have I been to a target without a bathroom. Even los angeles targets have free parking and bathrooms. I hope you love charleston and all of its major congestion. The busiest places in Los Angeles are quieter than charleston. Charleston is horrible.
@RetirementLifeSouthCarolina and speaking of the beach, a lot of flat white women and giant old people combined with the brown lake color water make it for the worst place I have ever been to
@gregabrams5792 LOL I lived in LA for many years....at least we don't have traffic lights telling us when to enter the freeways like on I-5 & I-10 in LA. I have to say using Target as a rest stop is a first 🤣
@RetirementLifeSouthCarolina when did I say I was using target as a rest stop? You are such a fool
I live here in SC, and you should also not come here if you're going to cause massive offense to Clemson or Game Cocks fans. 😂
Truth
Love this Glad I am making the move !
If developer's have it there way, many rural towns in South Carolina will be nomore
We are definitely seeing urban sprawl....but I think it will be a long while before it reaches the smaller rural areas
Hi Keith, have you done any videos on towns close to the beach, around 30-40 minutes away, that are more affordable?
@cheryles2 Hi Cheryl....not yet....is there any areas that you'd like to learn about?
Bad
Huh?
Keep the content coming.
Hilton Head Island🌴
Headed there tomorrow to shoot a Talk of the Town video. It should be up next week. Anything you'd like to learn about?
Really? Consider not moving because of an occasional thunderstorm? Talk about snowflake. I've lived here 3 years now and the thunderstorms are in fact infrequent. I actually believe we had more annually in Connecticut than down here.
Thunderstorms are all over.....not sure if CT has more of S.C. tho
yEAH, and Hunter will serve a long sentence -- NOT.
😂
@@RetirementLifeSouthCarolina How does this remotely involve realtor info? And the smiling face? This is as unprofessional as it gets. I am out.
Huh?
Hey Keith as a local in Murrells Inlet please stop telling people how wonderful our little slice of paradise is. We need to keep this a secret. Let them know how horrible the people are, how horrible the food is, how dirty the place is , how bad the drinks are how horrible the Marsh Walk is. Cmon help us locals out 😂😂
🤣🤣🤣......sorry I'll try to do better
Have you made any content regarding homeowners insurance cost & variations depending on SC areas?
Not yet....trying to put together a Live Stream for that...stay tuned
is Myrtle Beach ghetto?
No.
Thanks for your content
I'm 55 (soon to be 56) and retired military vet 100% disabled. What are my tax advantages? I hear a lot of over 62-65 benefits. I am considering SC in the next year or 2.
As a 100% disabled Vet, you are not taxed on military pay or taxed on property ( personal or property)
@@RetirementLifeSouthCarolina Thanks for the prompt reply. Hoping to make it down to SC by next year at the latest. Ill look you up.
@ronaldbelluscio9096 Looking forward to hearing from you
