    Hey Thank you for your detailed explanation! I have a question. How do you install the SSD which you put in the back of the device? What’s the right way to format it? I brought one but don’t know how to do this. The website of this device no longer exists… A video about that would be super helpful. Thank you!

  • @paulfrancisphotography
    @paulfrancisphotography10 ай бұрын

    Yeah, I was surprised to see the company doesn’t exist anymore. There is a screw on the back that you remove to be able to take off a metal panel, then the SSD just drops in and slides into place. Once you have it in you can format the drive from the menu.

    Hello. This video is very interesting. I'd like to seek your advance, actually I use gfx 100S and GF45F2.8, GF110F2. Now in europe Fujifilm is on campaign cashback, so I'm interested in 80F1.7, but I'm also interested in Mitakon 65, it is very good separation from object and background. I'm afraid that the sharpness in open wide Fstop of Mitakon 65. 80F1.7 is very similler to 110F2 and I know good quality of sharpness in wide Fstop F1.7, but I think Mitakon has unique image of 3D. Do you like and use very much Mitakon 65? Is it very good lens of image quality of sharpness?

    @@lemon58421 It is a difficult manual lens... it's much easier for instance to shoot with my old Minolta 58 1.4. But when you nail it, it's special and great. I hardly use it for commercial shoots (way too slow), use it a little for some portrait sessions (never with families with children)... tend to use it more for my own special projects. For me it seems best for shooting individuals and for my special projects, like shooting cars or scenes.

    With regards to the z5 stopping at 200 it may just be a setting that stops at 200, possibly increasing that may help. Incidentally have you tied eye/face af with the z5 in low to mid lighting - is it accurate in af/c or is it better to use af/s or single point ? - just curious as I have heard by others that its not its strong point in af/c low light - any comments would be much appreciated

  • @paulfrancisphotography
    @paulfrancisphotography Жыл бұрын

    I have never seen or heard of a setting that limits the number of photos taken on any Nikon or the Z5, but I am interested to know if there is such a setting. In regards to the eye/face AF, it is definitely less reliable than single point AF. When I used the Z5 for dark dance floor pictures at weddings, I had to use the Dynamic-Area AF mode for better accuracy. I did not see any difference (on mirrorless) in AF accuracy between using AF-S or AF-C modes so I always keep my AF on continuous.

  • @Photographersforyou
    @Photographersforyou Жыл бұрын

    @@paulfrancisphotography thanks Francis, actually D2 in settings menu is for continuous release - interesting though is on the z5 it limits to 100, however you got 200 ?! On other models I don’t know as I don’t have the cameras at hand to check but I’m sure it’s a lot more than 100. With regards to af/c do you find it lsd reliable than af/s as when I tried the z5 a while back the af/s was always spot on ?

    Update 2022: . The CHEAPEST Gnarbox solution (for Android & Samsung Users) is to simply plug the Card Reader (USB-Type C) into your smartphone and drag & drop the files. This works extremely well, especially if your smartphone STILL HAS 👉EXPANDABLE EXTERNAL MEMORY CARD👈 options. . Sidenote: Please stop rewarding these Smartphone manufactures with your hard-earned money, for new devices that LOCK you out of ACTUAL "PRO FEATURES"...but still want to use the phrase "PRO" to market their devices. 🙏

    A phone is great if you’re just backing up pictures on a trip or from one camera here and there. For my particular use, which is what this video is about, backing up multiple memory cards on the drive home is best done with a device like this, where you can start it before you begin driving and everything’s done when you get home.

  • @paulfrancisphotography
    @paulfrancisphotography2 жыл бұрын

    That really depends. If I could only use one lens the entire day, personally I’d go with a 50mm 1.4 or 1.8. But I use different lenses for different parts of the day. Mostly the 50mm but a 70-200 f4 (lighter and cheaper) for ceremonies, speeches, parent dances. 28mm for dance floor and wide group shots. Those three lenses I could stick with for a whole wedding.
