    Two takeaways. Cover the intake before blowing out the plenum. I noticed debris fall right in the intake when you blew it out. Second, need to find torque values for the plugs. I couldn't find a grunt listed in common official mechanics acceptable practices and procedures as a torque value. Otherwise, the push and twist tip saved me from destroying my drain plug. Thanks

    In my first real job out of High School, I remember doing this (though I used a hose clamp). I was so excited to have put that end together correctly, I showed my boss by connecting it under pressure. At this point the other completely open end started whipping around under 110PSI and my boss was looking at me with this incredible expression. I disconnected it and he asked me if my parents rewarded me “for doing stupid s**t”. I still remember that, he had a point!

    Any reason why your overload contacts are wired after the coil?

  • @CKMAINTENANCE

    Maintenance manager here! Words of caution to follow ⚠️ You should see what happens when the entire area/box gets packed with dust and shavings, and the overload can't do its thing 😂😂🤣😂 To all the workers and floor guys - Sweeping up the floor and cleaning off machines is not sufficient sustainable practices. Maybe once a month, try to get into every crack and crevice in your area of responsibility and / or ask your maintenance guys to lock out whatever boxes are around. All that only applies to dusty and dirty work areas.

    Great video...thank you for sharing. What applications would use a motor with a brake?

  • @CKMAINTENANCE
    @CKMAINTENANCE4 ай бұрын

    Any application where you would want the motor position to hold, until commended to rotate. This motor was from a panel saw, it lifts the saw up to position and holds it there until you want to lower the saw- then will it release the brake to bring it back down. Same for when raising the saw.

    So induction motors that operate in phase allows for d.c. injection on line to brake motor and lock rotor

  • @CKMAINTENANCE
    @CKMAINTENANCE4 ай бұрын

    the motor itself operates on 480vac 3phase, but the brake needs 24vdc to release it in order for the shaft to be able to rotate otherwise yes it would be a locked rotor

    I just replaced my lower thermostat. The top thermostat reset breaker was tripping too. Turned out bottom thermostat was working but not shutting off at all no matter how low you adjusted it. So the water was getting too hot tripping the top thermostat reset safety breaker. Replaced bottom thermostat and it fixed the problem. $5 fix! Water heater repair guy said $300 to $500 to do same damn thing. Nope, he can go sheister rob some one else. I will be doing a tune up kit next. Then it will be like brand new. Also anode, t and p and cold hot water lines too. All for a measley $50! Plumber repair guy would of took me for $800 to $1000! The greedy corrupt crooks criminals theives will empty your bank account if you let them. Good luck all.
