Matt Justice [Certified Saunas]

Matt Justice [Certified Saunas]

My name is Matt Justice, and I’m a professional blogger who found himself in the chair of a functional medicine doctor’s office in Orlando, FL in mid-2017.

I had a ton of health problems and just had my last amalgam filling removed. I really had no idea what heavy metal toxicity was, or how to purge the body of heavy metals; Nor did I even know we all need to!

I was as green as they come, and barely knew what an infrared sauna was at the time… but this would quickly change, as the Doc said the #1 thing I could do for my health, was “get in an infrared sauna like yesterday!”

I have personally used and EMF-tested every single sauna that I recommend. There is also video verification of each and every test. Many people are in the same position I was in, investing thousands of dollars in a sauna, only to find out they’ve been misled. By watching our channel, you will be in a much better position to make informed purchase decisions.

I’m not on Facebook or anything so can’t follow u. I’m looking at a 2 person sauna and was going for traditional one but after watching numerous videos, am I choosing wrong and just doing what your showing on here and get an infrared one and add a traditional heater?? It dose my head when there’s so many different videos on this. Cheers in advance

Having owned both, the wet sauna experience is far better than the infrared system. The feeling of warm steam on the body is amazing. I now have a gas fired unit and love. True not as flexible as infrared and I don't care which is technically better but I love the wet version. Each to their own...

I'm not disappointed, actually impressed with the poor design Reviewed in the United States on February 26, 2022 Verified Purchase First, thank you to Amazon for changing the return policy on these kinds of devices, this was the only reasons for a number of years that I wouldn't buy these meters to call them out on their scammy and fraudulent claims. I bought this item as a curiosity and to write a review piece online and it has definitely served that purpose. This in addition to the Trifield EMF meters are what got me started on this journey to expose the scam that are these EMF meters. It also was a nice hardware reverse engineering challenge to see if I could extract firmware from it, which I was able to easily do (with a Tag Connect TC2030-MCP 6-Pin Cable) and it loads nicely into Ghidra to see the scam that this device is pulling of which is very similar to the Trifield TF2. From what I was able to gather upon tearing down the device (which obviously the people who buy this product don't have knowledge of electronic components/systems) think of it as a crystal AM radio kit with very bad and poor attempt patch antenna using copper tape that is amplified with a bunch of audio grade amplifiers and fed into an analog-to-digital converter on a microcontroller (Microchip PIC18F46K42 in this case) and then the measurement is then converted to some number and displayed on the LCD and LED bar graph display. Being the competent RF engineer that I am, I measured the VSWR of the copper tape antenna, and it is clearly not as wide band as claimed (It's only good mid-way through L-Band at 1500 MHz, with a VSWR pretty much at unity). This evidence clearly shows that the device is definitely not capable of measuring the claimed frequencies of 0.2 - 8.0GHz in a controlled way, as it's non-linear and you can't exactly calibrate that out with a lightweight microcontroller. This alone shows how much of a scam and money grab this meter is. So this device (EMFields Acoustimeter AM11), is a scam that relies on the exploitation of people who fear technology and falsely believe that the tech is causing them ill effects... and also think that all RF is like nuclear radiation, which it is most definitely not. So basically this becomes the "confirmation-bias" meter that they can point to what they think the offending device and say "see it's that", when in reality they're seeing a signal amplified non-linearly anywhere from x100 - x10000 times its actual power level and then are falsely led to believe that they're health condition is not caused by other environmental factors and/or other underlying health problems. I'm sorry to tell you that you're more likely to get skin cancer from the Sun and if unchecked that will metastasize to the brain (Yea you're more likely to get brain tumors from the sun than RF from your devices). I'm also sorry to tell if you're looking to save $10,000 to $100,000 by buying the Acoustimeter instead of equipment from Keysight, Tektronix, Rohde & Schwarz, Teledyne-Lecroy,, etc. you are only fooling yourself and are living in a different reality. In conclusion, this was a fun experience and gave me closure that this whole device is scam and I feel validated as an engineer that works with RF and plays with $100,000 RF test equipment that can actually measure what this claims to measure. It confirms everything I suspected about the design of these meters and it's all just a scam that relies on the exploitation of people's basic fears of technology. If you really want to actually measure EMF, just buy a Keysight Field Fox and a Triaxial antenna (About $20,000).

I don’t know what the answer is but I think you are asking the right questions. Earthships have been around from the 70s. For me there are three questions all having to do with making the model scaleable. 1) adapting building technology to make them faster and less labor intensive to build? 2) adapting to urban and suburban landscapes? 3) figuring out ways to adapt some of the concepts to existing structures?

While you mentioned cultural context: I actually think "sauna" is a total experience. There's also the proper environment, social context and even aesthetics. To me "sauna" is really a traditional log sauna with a woodem stove by a lake. Swimming in the lake after sauna is as much part of the sauna experience as the sauna itself. Also the sense of solitude, silence and serenity. It's a complete thing instead of just this or that technology.

In Finland sauna is traditionally kind of two different things. There's sauna with your nuclear family. Then there's sauna among male friends or sauna among female friends. They have different social rules and contexts. Personally I don't think alcohol go together at all. I might have a cold beer after sauna but that's it.

I had a far infrared sauna, and it was a waste of money. I’d get warm on the back and the rest of my body didn’t feel right. Infared saunas are for people that can’t afford to build a real sauna. It’s just a gimmick. I’ve spend about about 50,000 building mine. I’ve got the Harvia Autodose where you can push a button and it sprays water on the rocks 🪨. Colored LED Lights. Just don’t listen to to all the North America literature saying to have your ceiling at 7ft tall. You want it 8 ft tall or 8.5 or even 9ft if you have the space. You want your body above the rocks 🪨. But don’t waste your money on an inferred, if you don’t have the space in your house, then put one outside they’ve got kits.

As a Finnish person I thought I'd mention something. I appreciate your hands on approach and experimentation but to me a Finnish sauna is NOT primarily a steam sauna. It's up to the individual to decide how much steam they want to use. Some people in Finland think you shouldn't use steam at all and only use drea heat from the stove. Most people use the steam tho so I get it but I think steam saunas are a totally different thing as in Roman or "Turkish" saunas. What makes a Finnish sauna is the ability to ADJUST the moisture aka steam but also run it totally dry whereas "steam saunas," can't do that. Another thing is I actually prefer fire and wood heated saunas which are a lot more traditional but I also think they are just better. It's hard to explain how but you should just try it and see it for yourself. Thanks for the video. 🙂👍

Swedish sauna never fixed my chronic shoulder pain. Far infa red healed it in two sessions. The more I used it the better it feels, today my shoulder doesn’t even click and is flexible and doesn’t hurt at all. I find it really helps my bones as I’m older now. I also find it’s easier to breathe in it as well.
