I’ve been on it for about three weeks, and I’m loving this game. There are a couple of changes I’d make, but it’s really fun and engrossing.

Really like the video! You're one of the few game reviews who doesn't wank off about technical aspects (which I feel like is a good 'chunk' of what all the angry responses have been about). It's pretty annoying to have every conversation derailed into some slugging about "uh but duh grafiks!!". And you were pretty right about everyone just kind of picking whatever nitpick to get mad about. (Seriously? Pronouns and lack of dogs?) Bugs have been fixed, patches have been made, and it looks and plays a lot better from what I've seen. But you know what I think? I don't think it matters. No one is going to pay attention, no matter whether "x issue" is fixed or not. Your video even only hit like, 50K views as of me watching it. Which is a real shame because to be honest, if Starfield is performing poorly, the chance of getting other games in the "Singleplayer Space RPG" genre is probably going to be in the toilet for a while. The aesthetic, I agree, is super damn cool. It *feels* technical, utilitarian and very, I guess, "industrial". It feels very much like The Expanse or some of those other really cool "hard sci-fi" shows where everything feels dinged-up and hardscrabble, really selling that you're eking a life out in space. And I will never understand how people think Starfield is some sanitized "clean game" and Cyberpunk is like an edgy masterpiece. Simply including adult stuff in a game doesn't make it "mature" if you're just putting it in to be "mature". Maybe that impression isn't fair, but it tends to rub me the wrong way when people say a game has "mature themes" because I don't know if that means it's really deep and thought provoking, or if it's just, you know, "90s movie edgy". "Cyborg penis humor" I suppose. (Again, Cyberpunk isn't necessarily a bad game, I think it's pretty cool actually, but it baffles me that people take it so seriously when even the game itself seems not to try so hard). Sometimes I want to play in a "cleaner" world, just to kick back and not revel in "sex and drugs and cursing for the hell of it". We haven't really gotten a true "Space *RPG* RPG" in a very long time. Starfield isn't like *great*, in my opinion, but it's certainly like an 8/10, which in my book is pretty good. The exploration is pretty lackluster compared to Fallout or Skyrim. It really does try to please everybody. I appreciate you saying that Starfield is its *own game*, because really it tried to be a lot of games but did none of them "as well as" the games it took from. I really do hope that the game gets its No Man's Sky/Cyberpunk 2077 redemption arc, because again, just being able to have an RPG set in a vast sci-fi space setting means leagues to me, and to be honest, if people keep dogging on Starfield, it's going to KILL the chances for something like that for a good while. For better and for worse, it really is true to say: "There's no game quite like it".

"You can drink beer out of a juice box." This got me so hard. I LOVE the whimsy in this game. Admittedly, I do hate that the only dogs seem to be the Labrador cookies and the parsec pooch. It makes me le sad. But it's only a mod away, don't worry about it. The game was always good. It has the potential to be great. Once the mega-money tourists have made their content creation money and schlepped off to the next new thing, the folks who LOVE this game will be the only remaining content creation and the Starfield YT scene is going to be amazing. It's already trending so much nicer after a couple updates this year have brought some much-needed features (maps, omg thank you). The people who never left will continue to thrive, and the money-grabbers will pop by, grab their content creation money, shit on it again to make a little extra because negativity sells, and then leave the place to us again. Such is the way with mega patches and DLC in the modern gaming world. We normal players see who bucks the trends and plays for the love of the game, and we shower them with likes and subs. I also had almost no bugs from launch. A few odd physics interactions, and only one game crash ever, and one glitched quest. That's it. I also played on minimum graphics everything because of my computer. Maybe that made the difference since I wasn't trying to maximize everything the game could possibly do all at one time.

Earnest Hemingway was a great writer. Imagine reading 'Pride and Prejudice' by Jane Austen in which chapter eight was written by Earnest Hemingway. The fact that Hemingway was a great writer, doesn't mean 'Pride and Prejudice' would be made better by having it's eighth chapter composed by Hemingway. It would be ruined.

When I started playing Ghost Mode I got Socom 2/Confrontation flashbacks hardcore, GD man why can't either PS or some other triple A development team just release an awesome TPS military multiplayer game like Socom or GR 2? Anything that gets close falls short in some way and dies off, I had hopes Breakpoint was going to finally do it but nope.

People hate TLJ because they wanted Luke to be the new Obi-wan and train Rey to be the new Luke Skywalker. They wanted rehashed more of the same like The Force Awakens was. I liked The Last Jedi because it was actually different.

Don't know I loved it both as a science fiction nerd and hobbyist author. Starfield gets a lot of Sci-fi concepts that get overlooked so right that it is a crying shame. This isn't some attempt to feel superior but it very much asks a lot out of the audience. It's the early 2nd millennium, landing on a derelict planet full of environmental hazards, and having it feel empty just feels... right ... The Vanguard storyline is one of my favorite storylines in fiction, yes it could have used more focus, hell it could have been the main plot of the game....

I disagree. The lack of reactions from npcs, the disconnected feeling of everything. It allows you to do a lot but it all feels disjointed and meaningless. The dialogue is so bloated, which would be fine if the camera wasn't locked often times facing the back of the character. Let alone the loading screens, empty worlds, lore that doesn't really make sense, and lack of innovation. It's just more, and the flavor from older Bethesda games seems to have been boiled out of this one. There are a lot of questionable design choices, like the swimming. In a game with infinite worlds, and you can't even dive underneath the water as you could in previous games? So no water creatures? Doesn't any of this strike you as underwhelming for a game to have been in design for this long?

Some years ago I came to the conclusion that I would never tell someone that they are wrong for liking a video game. I think there is little value in stating that something is "overrated" as compared to something is "underrated". The first is a negative emotion it comes from a place of resentment and envy but the second comes from a place of joy and enthusiasm, wanting others to see with fresh eyes and giving them the opportunity to enjoy something for themselves. I enjoyed FF16. I was and am still a bit confused about the ring mechanic and understand that people have problems with it. But overall I enjoyed the ride, the story, the epicness (even tho sometimes I didn't saw what was going on on the screen anymore)

This is a very interesting video when it comes to talking about Shenmue. Even though there's a few things I don't agree with like I'm surprised you don't like Shenmue 2 that much and I think it's a massive improvement over the first game and is my favorite video game sequel of all time.

I enjoyed Starfield a lot, but maybe I am a weirdo. I also enjoyed me: Andromeda, and the original mass effect. But what enjoyed mostly the me1/me:A aimless exploration in a mostly barren world. I like that i can land on a random planet, and not stumble every 5 meters on random encounters, different buildings, and just walk in any direction for 20minutes and find... rocks, that is it rocks :)). sometimes i find interesting vegetation, fauna. I hunt something, after 1 hour I find a building, what could it be there? For me it is the perfect exploration of alien worlds. When i get bored i do something else. Return to civilization and... I don't know find someone missing sweetroll :))). Don't get me wrong i love tight story games (Fallout, TES, Deusex, System/Bioshock, dishonored etc) but I enjoyed Starfield most for this kind of exploration. I also love the flying/building ships part. I like the new update(although I do not enjoy that they made random encounters so frequent now. they are not that many variations so it makes no sense) They need to fix the basebuilding, and make economy better(I loved the basebuilding in fo4, probably have more hours in basebuilding than actually playing fallout 4 :))) )

"Show me your trophies?" - My man thinks adults who work 40h+ has as much free time as his lazy ass. I beat like, 3 games a year (in a good year). I bought a PS5 just to play it and... it's okay. I've just reached the "5 years later" part and the game is fine. The combat is dull, the customization is weak, but the story is okay, the characters are actually quite nice and the world is somewhat interesting. It's a decent game. I had a lot more fun with FF15 (that game was da bomb), FF16, however, is just alright. Notthing outstading, but it's been fine enough to keep me playing it until now. It's okay.

Even with the new update in May when he saw they added a 60fps performance mode for Xbox, he laughed at them for it. Why? Thought 60fps was one of the main things people wanted from the game Also i’m surprised there aren’t more haters of the game attacking you for this video

I'm doing my first playthrough and granted I have used some console commands because some of the gameplay functions I don't like, but being able to go anywhere and do anything and just be amazed and the level of detail is crazy. This game is just pretty... and fun to look at... I've actually taken screenshots because I just think it's so pretty.

My assumption was that Lando and Luke were looking for the thing and Lando went to this planet because they heard that what's his name's ship was there. It doesn't explain why Lando stayed, but maybe he got word that Luke had done a runner and Lando decided to stay. He sure seems like he's gone native.

Er, I don't think DJ was hanging around the jail waiting for Resistance people to show up. Why would he expect something like that to happen? I think he was probably only there for the night and would have been released soon and he saw no reason to risk escaping and catching more heat if he got caught. But when he was presented with an opportunity to profit, he took it. Or the reason he didn't break out sooner was that he was taking a nap and would have left when he felt like it.

For months after the game came out I was constantly being recommended low-effort and negative Starfield reviews from these channels even though I was constantly hitting the "Don't recommended" button. It was always the same story: new or otherwise super small channel regurgitating the same complaints as everyone else and getting tons of views.

Compared to Fallout 4 or Skyrim it's utter garbage, a loading screen simulator. I gave it a chance, put 300 hours into it. But most of those were in the starship builder which is very good. A shame you cant actually fly your ship anywhere. It looks and plays like those much older games too, the NPC AI is just as bad as it was almost 20 years ago. Heelvsbabyface was 100% correct in his rant, that crap don't need to be in the game, so was Asmogold. Maybe you're trying a little too hard to put a positive spin on this $70 game?
