33:40 this part got me to watch the film Threads, based on the clips shown and how Greengrass described it… I regretted it immediately after I was done watching it. Damn you Supervoid Cinema & Paul Greengrass lmafo 🤣. Keep up the good work tho for real!

There is an interesting update to this: right around the release of wendell and wild, Selick announced he got the rights to the shadow king back from Disney and that he may revive it. Also Disney not wanting to do the film because kids dont like dark and scary? That says a lot when literally a month before wreck it ralph they release Tim Burton's animated remake of Frankenweenie.

27 minutes in, Ray Manzarek's analysis of Stone's film is true indeed. Stone made Jim out to be a violent hedonistic lush, and he was NOT violent, and only beCAME a lush over a decade. He did question authority, but was NOT the rebel outcast of Stone's imagination. Manzarek was correct. But Ray got one thing incorrect. Fame did NOT consume Jim. Cigarettes, ethyl alcohol, and drugs consumed Jim. Mixing heroin with alcohol consumed him the first time he tried doing it.

Sixteen minutes in, Kilmer gives his impersonation in song, and puts it up against Jim's original vocals. He wanted to see if they could tell the difference. Trust me, they knew which tracks were Jim's and which were Val's.

This is why I cannot watch movies anymore. I hate Hollywood and all the garbage they produce. Not only that, they're gigantic hypocrites. Imagine a room full of woke hypocrites, preaching their phony religion to the unwashed masses who pay to watch their garbage and you have the academy awards. With their "Open Secrets" like Harvey Weinstein. These people make me sick. Just think about how much money they've made from violent movies, how many movie posters have you ever seen with the star's holding a gun? And they want to take private citizens guns away. Putrid people. But.....that's just my opinion! Ha ha. Cheers mate!

Geez reeve thought at 34 he was too old to play superman. Its only 4 years older. Even 37 isnt crazy. I think reeve really wanted to do other roles & direct. Sadly b4 his accident he was about to do a coppola movie & direct. The fact he still directed 2 popular projects winning awards starred in a tv movie & did a smallville episode wrote 2 books opened a foundation travelled & wrote to congress wow what a person. The greatest ever actor to play superman & set the stage of the constant formulas for super hero films. None match up imo.

I remember years ago I had an issue of I think Comics Interview that was focused on Spiderman. One of the interviews was with Ted Newsom, who talked about his script and I agree with your assessment. If I could magic one superhero movie into existence, it would be this one.

If the Watchmen film had happened in the 90's or early 2000's, Rene Auberjonois and Jeff Daniels would've been good choices for Rorschach and Nite Owl II respectively

The 2009 movie, while it pales in comparison to the book, was, when taken by itself, fine. Snyder was about a fitting director as the movie was gonna get. He did the best as probably anyone was going to.

So many choices that get blamed on Snyder were studio mandates, and radical Snyder fans pushed things further. I'm of course not talking about the fans who helped Zack's vision be achieved, but the fans who weren't satisfied after the goal was achieved. When he said he thought it'd be better to have a few more films before you dive into Justice League, it made me very sad because WB didn't go that way.

Dreadful film, even the remaining Doors members thought so too. It's full of cliches and alleged comments and actions that Jim never said or did. As a long-time Doors fan and a Morrisonologist I thought it did nothing but push the lies and cliches. Kilmer wasn't the best actor to play Jim either.

that's ridiculous and your opinion. I love the movie. Was Oliver supposed to ignore Jimbo which was Jims alcoholic nickname? when Jimbo came out everyone knew to stay away, and they did go into Jims great intelligent, poet writer side, thats how the whole band gets started. But Jim became a depressed, alcoholic in a toxic relationship. But his dark side is the reason i love the Doors, them and the Beatles are tied at 1 for me

Thanks for the video. I have signed copies of the three part Return to New York, and also a reader set of the three. I didn't know that Tales of TMNT vol 2 issue 70 was a missing part. The only copy for sale that I have found for sale online is $429? Ugh, I guess that is due to it's very low print run. One can only dream about having that issue now... ha. (Under 2000 copies.)

I remember while I was in middle school that my class had taken a trip to see the 2007 fully computer generated TMNT film and I rather enjoyed. Seeing on how all the brothers went their separate ways to be reunited and facing new foes and still being a continuation of the live action TMNT.

I've never understood the entire " robots nuking the world." It makes far more sense for A.I. to create a chemical/biological weapon that kills everyone. Nuclear weapons would create E.M.P.'s that would damage computers.

My sister and I saw Daredevil back in 2003 and still get together to watch it on DVD, then theorize how the sequel would've been like. The "Born Again" storyline was my very first choice for the next movie, but nothing happened for years until the Netflix series. Then after 3 seasons, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders, Punisher, all got canceled. As much as I miss those shows, I'll always miss and mourn the loss of those canceled Daredevil movie sequels. 😭🌧 ( Evanescence - My Immortal, playing in the background)
