  to cab trains its just a case of being polite really, just wait for the driver to get in the cab and knock on the door and when they answer just ask if its possible to get a look around the cab, obviously dont mess with any of the controls without their permission but its always ok to ask to see if its possible, good luck!

  I’ll upload the full vid with most our cabs in it, I’m taking out the 390 cab I toned bc the driver didn’t want filming and my camera stayed on even though I closed it, and I may have to take the 331 out bc the driver told you to chill out 💀 (anyone reading this don’t go after him for toning it the driver had a laugh and said it was fine after)

  Yeah, the driver just walked to our group and asked us who wanted to start it up which was a massive surprise as we normally ask drivers rather than being asked from them

  @@R2UKspotting Honestly quite cool, in Scarborough, the drivers are usually moody. Though Northern usually lets people have a look in the cabs of their 170's, and TPE sometimes does, but other than that, they usually give tones for trainspotters.

  @@Cross_Trainspotting just lots of asking, most trains that have a decently long stopping time I go over and knock on to ask if it’s possible, I do often get told no but it’s completely understandable yet some days you get lucky

  I love sounding DVT tones because you can build up the horn by sounding the low tone then doing the ear-deafening loud chord at the end and it sounds great
