    Notre Dame loses Liam and Napolitano and Dobson and Pat. That’s pretty much it. Taylor is coming back. They have two freshman AAs and Chris K and a ton of that depth returning. They have talent to 3 peat potentially.

    Its always great to get to the final...totally sucks when you lose...im not so heart broken this time because i knew we were gonna lose anyway. But it sure was satisfying and fun to put away Duke and Virginia.

    Well, the Irish are notorious for doing weird spiritual stuff in sports...So, today they got a flood in Philadelphia to delay our spectacular momentum...After that, we floundered and became unable to earn our luck.... So now we focus on "singing our song as we go rolling along" in NCAA football.... Go Terps...Fear the Turtle...Beat the Huskies....

    Since when is winning, "wierd spiritual stuff?" Terps simply ran into the best team College Lacrosse has ever seen. Nothing wrong with playing them tough in the second half ... the 2H score was 1-1. Thats pretty good stickin' on both parts.

    The field in Philadelphia may be wet on Monday...That can effect how "physical" the game is during the first half....We have players who trust Coach Tillman's game-plan... We have freshmen and young players who have learned how to out-smart opponents from graduate students like Luke Weirman.... Logan McNaney makes saves and clears to frustrate opponents... Go Terps...Fear the Turtle..Beat the Irish....

  • @thomasboushier2972
    @thomasboushier2972Ай бұрын

    Coach Tillman emphasizes that having a very difficult schedule actually helps freshmen and young players learn how to adapt to outstanding game-plans...For example, the Wahoos used man-to-man defenses differently when we played them early this season and when they were playing in the post-season.... Our older players and graduate students trust the game-plans and set brilliant examples for the future of our team... Go Terps...Fear the Turtle...Beat the Irish....

    Also don't discount a couple really heady plays by Ajax - one in the video tiptoeing the line to stay onside but also with MD down 8-9 with about 12 minutes to play he made certain the official knew Zawata had kicked the ball out of bounds after McNaney mad a save and then with about 6 to play at 11 all, McNaney made another save and Zappitello picked up the GB and placed it in the crease where it was safe from Duke interference. Sometimes little things go unnoticed but they're really B1G things.

  • @auntkaz815

    Great breakdown. So much better than the folks that thought Duke walked on water and were destined for the championship before this game and decided that they were actually a very flawed team whose chickens came home to roost after the game. So fickle.

    I feel bad for Duke after listening to this interview. Losing just plain sucks. But 20 turnovers and Duke failed to capitalize. There's just no excuse for that. They've been too hot and cold all year.

  • @Cdawg5666
    @Cdawg5666Ай бұрын

    Definitely agree w the last part. One step from the FF. When Naso got hurt vs UVa the season tilted a bit. Duke has athletic SSDM but not enough of them. Maryland was deeper, and we’re good enough to win despite the turnovers. Just a stay of execution for UMD and UVA..unfortunately it’s the ND Invite.

    Wow!...Coach Tillman used outstanding talents in helping the team gain the lead at the end of the 3rd Quarter.... Terp coaches, however, are good at using "clock management"...The problem was when to use time-outs, and, suddenly, was one of our goals going to count?... This is a team that has stamina... We out-smart opponents because we take pride in knowing how to step up....We earn our luck... Go Terps...Fear the Turtle...

    Well, the Devils had lots of wins, and their coach will probably keep his position...He claimed that the Terps were "a better team today"... So, next will be either the Wahoos or the Blue Jays... Go Terps...Fear the Turtle.....

    Well, Danowski evidently plans to keep his position as coach of an ACC team...After all, the Devils had many wins... Yet, after losing this game, he says: "you know, today they were the better team"..... Go Terps...Fear the Turtle...

    This is the first complete game Maryland has played all year. Kelly finally showed up giving us the left-handed shooter we have been missing. Defense, faceoffs, and goal tending have kept us in games, but the offense was missing. Rutgers is a solid team with a tough defense. Finally in the 4th quarter, the Terp's started playing like Terp's, and started firing on all cylinders. Tillman knows how to build momentum and it couldn't come at a better time. We will find out this week against Hopkins if this team is real? Go Terp's! Beat Hopkins!

    My only complaint about Tillman is when we have a lead late in the game, he takes his foot off the gas to bleed clock. It's better to play to win, than to play not to lose. Maryland had a two-goal lead late in the 4th quarter and we turned it over. Ohio State scored making it a one goal game. It was lucky McNaney got a shot he could handle, or anything could have happened. I wish we had a guy that Tillman trusted enough to finish off an opponent late in a game. Maryland has had several one goal wins that could have gone either way. Coach, turn the dogs loose and let them eat! GO TERPS!

    Sloppy game, regular offense not too good today. The pole goals turned the contest to Maryland. Terps will clean up the TOs's but still need to find a focal point on offense. There are a few good teams in lax, but no great teams. With all the issues, Terps are still #5 in the land.

    Without Wierman on the field, we are mediocre. The defense has holes, the offense has poor shooting, and McNaney's stats are mediocre. This team has talent and the best coach in America. Notre Dame blew through us, and 3 OT wins that could easily have been losses doesn't bode well facing Virginia this week. Tillman needs to figure this out sooner rather than later. Go Terps!

  • @mikeflynn248
    @mikeflynn2483 ай бұрын

    Terps need to tighten up a few things. This game showed how important Luke Wierman is by his absence. Overall, not a good showing. With 3 OT wins Maryland could easily be 2-4 instead of 5-1. Tillman needs to figure this out sooner rather than later with Virginia and the conference schedule coming up. Be the Best, and GO TERPS!
