  my father played a round with this guy along with some wealthy Jewish folks looking for good tips along the way...... many years later he was able to pick my father out of a crowd for a quick chat while watching a tounament..... very sharp man for sure.... he was also a big bloke with formidable power ! his massive extensive golfing knowledge & wit will be well missed.......

  first time playing at wembley 1940 you sure ... ? The Lions made their first official appearance at Wembley Stadium in 1999, reaching the Football League Trophy Final with a victory against Gillingham in the semi-finals and a 2-1 aggregate victory over Walsall in the regional final. They faced Wigan Athletic in the final but lost 1-0 to an injury-time goal. Millwall finished 5th and lost 1-0 on aggregate to Wigan in the Second Division play-off semi-finals of the 1999-2000 season, their third play-off semi-final loss. In 1945, Millwall appeared in a Football League War Cup final at Wembley Stadium against Chelsea, but it is not acknowledged in the record books. The attendance was 90,000, the largest crowd Millwall have ever played in front of, which included King George VI, whom the team were introduced to before kick-off. Millwall made it back to Wembley after a play-off final defeat in the 2008-09 season against Scunthorpe United and losing out on automatic promotion on the last day of the 2009-10 season to Leeds United by one point.1
