The founder of RH Moto Worx is a mechanic, machinist, engineer, entrepreneur, thrill seeker, inventor, racer, and down to earth realist.
I have seen many people on threads, forums, and in talking be let down when their cool trick parts go out of production, or use some specialty bearing or part that eventually out costs the part and the part gets tossed or becomes very hard to find. I have always made parts for myself and friends, with a goal of simplicity and serviceability. When you buy things from me, it will generally be a bolt on parts that uses off the shelf bearings/bushings..etc for serviceability. This gives you confidence that you will be able to run and service your parts for a very very long time.

Why does single cylinder have two exhaust coming out of cylinder head?
You can bay mi the old cylinder/cylinderhead?
What's that plastic box run? 😉
This sounds like a great build. Very little information in english about the parts you have bought, so keen to see how you go with it. Thanks for the video 👍
Easy Start Timing - Oh good one sir 👊
How was the headlight wired?
Great Videos!
I remember shooting the opening scene but I must have taken a nap and just let the camera roll during the rest of it. Please don't report me to the union. I did wake up for my cameo. 😊
Nice!
Interesting, greets from germany
Hello can this stem work on cr85 forks
That option is available on our website, yes. www.rhmotoworx.com
Can you provide links for where you got the rear link and shock?
We make the rear link. www.rhmotoworx.com. Type Vonkat into the internet for the shock :)
Will this fit 97 xr 100r
Yup!
Can you put just the linkage and keep the stock shock?
Yes, some do that. but the linkage makes it feel 20% softer so if you are an adult it will be too soft. for a kid wanting more travel you can leave the stock shock.
@@rhmotoworx7920 Thanks. 👍
could you jut take out the fork tubes and swap them
Good question! No, the tube diameter on the CR is larger.
@@rhmotoworx7920 oh ok
Will this rear linkage also work on an XR80R? I have a 1993 XR80R and the bushings are worn out in the linkage on it.
Yup!
Can you use a crf150 ft end
Crf150r yes!
Your website states that there are reports that the current version of the Fatboy shock does not fit any longer, why is that?
The diameter of the V2 fatboy shock is larger. Some say it works, some say it doesn't. Please use discretion.
@@rhmotoworx7920 I took a chance and went ahead and ordered the link, the V2 did fit my son’s 1999 xr with some gentle persuasion. He loves it. Thank you. He wants to do the front conversion now.
This is exactly what I'm looking for Thanks for sharing!
You got it!
Can I do this to my xr80? 04 model just curious if it will bolt up with the kit and proper instal… will run the smaller 85 wheel
100% yes, the 80s are lots of fun setup like this.
Awesome guys and girls 👍
How higher dose the bike sit with these changes
Hey, About 2 inches
Nice catch on that washer. Video should say how to swap forks with kung fu, followed by snatch the dog bone out of my hand and win this bike.
Next video ;)
Hello, I’m trying to get the rear link for an xr80 1992 but is still out of stock at your website. Do you know when is going to be available again? Thank you.
They are back in stock, order up!
can it outrun a semi now?
Only one way to find out...
I’m really wanting to do this on my 1996 xr100r is it possible to do the conversion with a set of newer cr85 inverted forks?
Hi Kyle, You can run the newer CR85 front end on your 96 no problem. Any of our XR100 stems will work on any year bike so that gives you more options.
Hermoso xr
Gracias!
Ho Robert, hope zu see something about two stroke engines and two wheeler from the 80's and 90's. I will follow this Channel. Best wishes from Germany, Tobias
Do you know if this will work with a 89?
100% yes, We offer parts for 1985 to 2013 XR/CRF 80/100.
Awesome video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice! Do you guys also provide service for this conversion for people who don't have the tools or space to work? Thanks
Hi there, at this time we only offer parts, however any local motorcycle shop will be able to help you with your build.
Would that link be to high for the stock forks ( with cut springs and a spacer)? Have the vonkat already but still seems lower in the back when rider weight is on. 2 and 1 half turns on preload of vonkat. 04 crf.
Hi Mike, we have customers that just do the rear and it looks and works fine. But it will amplify how bad the front end really is ha.
It’s perfect! 👏
Looking to get everything to do this to my xr 100 soon, one question did you guys shorten the cr fork at all cause they like pretty well balanced with the lift in the rear end!👍 thanks
Hey Hunter, We did not shorten the forks but slid them up in the clamps a little bit.
This is great! Would love a parts list though. What bushings did you use on the linkage? Did they come with the linkage? Or did you use the original ones?
Hi Dominik, The bushings are the same to rebuild your stock piece and do not come with the link. If you head to our website the how to guides have the details you are after. Feel free to email us for more questions.
@@rhmotoworx7920 would you happen to have a link to the lift link bushings ? Please thanks in advance
Can you share some info on where to get the wheel/fork/brake/tire setup? thanks!
Dang, that was a long time ago. I dont know if and where you can get this stuff new anymore, you may have to scour the forums and pages for used stuff. Plus I made the brake adapter.
Subscribed. Thanks for sharing!
THANKS FOR THE VIDIO IM STARTING THE SAME THING WITH ALSO A 1972 Z50 KANDY ORANGE THIS REALLY HELPS
I use a heat gun to remove old stickers and razor blade with hot soapy water to finish.
Hello Super swap/video. Sorry about my English. The front wheel diameter of the 80 cr is identical to the origin of the XR? You stay in 19" ? Thank you.👊
Hey, We swapped over a 19 inch CR85RB front wheel in place of the 17 inch that came with the 1993 CR80 front end. You are right, we wanted to keep the same wheel diameter that the xr100 came with.
@@rhmotoworx7920 Very smart to use a front of a cr85rb👌. Thank you very much and very nice job.
I have the 86 xr80. im getting parts together for this conversion.love the video. Thanks for the tutorial. I still need a conversion for rear disk brakes. If not ill just get xr100 swingarm and wheel for now. I want to upgrade the ignition to a better newer style also.
Awesome! We are working on that last part you need ;)
@@conniestevenson226 can I do this on my 04 xr80
I would be really awesome if you guys would come up with some triples for the z50's and Ct70's that allow for some Japanese 65 or 80cc racebike forks.
Send us an email and we can chat more about this idea!
Watching from Australia here...👍
Sent you a FB message
Hmmmmm The forks need way more grease than that the springs will rub on the tubes , thats why honda put so much on Also you put the lower legs in the wrong sides brake goes on the RIGHT
Good catch! We fix that in a future episode. funny how the xr50 and newer have it on the left while the Z50 has it on the right. How much grease should there be?
@@rhmotoworx7920 plenty of grease dont worry more is better , if you take any spring forks apart that are original , they will be loaded , if you look at the spring you will see that often there is wear marks on the out side form rubbing instide the tubes
Keep up the good work on the bike. Where did u find the bike, what did you pay for it. People are asking crazy price for these bikes. At least you got some parts with it. Good luck on the build.
Thanks! Got it with a shed cleanout and had to bring it back to life. People do ask some crazy $ for these. We are going to get it going and teach people to ride and rock some backyard wheelies like it was made for! Thanks for watching!
Goddam beast!
It’s ALIVE. That’s a beast
Let the guy in front of you, we need something to watch!
...ok, I watched the whole thing. It's a very good ride! You have good control, and that's just an XR100? You make it look easy.
Right on! This one has suspension work and a not so stock engine setup. Big valves, 57mm bore, carb and exhaust are some highlights. Its a screamer.
You ride that track real good!. Is that a hundred with a light on it? It sounds REAL good!
Thanks! aside from the lighting and suspension that engine intake and exhaust is bone stock 1997! Its dialed for sure.
I have an xr100r 2002 as well So I'm subbing but I'm givin it a big bore kit
Next up, some good suspension ;)
