L’associazione culturale Sentieri Selvaggi è attiva a Roma dal 1999 e diversifica le sue attività tra l’informazione cinematografica, la didattica (www.scuolasentieriselvaggi.it) e l’organizzazione di eventi.
Nata nel 1988 come rivista di critica e casa editrice, è diventata nel 2000 una webzine quotidiana (www.sentieriselvaggi.it), con una pubblicazione bimestrale in pdf di approfondimento, Sentieri Selvaggi Magazine (facebook.com/sentieriselvaggimagazine).
In un numero speciale del 2004, "La presse de Cinema dans le monde", Sentieri selvaggi è stata segnalata dai celebri Cahiers du cinema come una tra le dieci riviste di cinema on line più importanti al mondo.
Negli ultimi anni è cresciuta anche l’area eventi che vanta l’organizzazione di numerose rassegne di successo su Roma e Arezzo, realizzate spesso in collaborazione con case di produzione e distribuzione indipendenti, contando anche sull’apporto di ospiti internazionali come Enrico Ghezzi e Olivier Assayas.

Un film meraviglioso.
Filmone pazzesco con un cast di prim'ordine! E il bello è che poi ti rimane (oltre all'emozione di tutto ciò che è successo in quel decennio) la curiosità di informarti su tutti i personaggi e gli avvenimenti accaduti da quella fatidica data in poi.
Voci basse, pessima intervista, la falco pare scema o lo è davvero!

I think this is a reminder of how much WWI and WWII were a culmination of colonialism, genocide, racism, eugenics, and fascism combined. It's sad to see how it effected Christopher Lee. But it gives us a sense of what motivated him to be an actor and how it helped him process his pain. I suppose, in many ways, he's a reminder of what it means to be the best of what we can be and to remember to not let the past repeat itself.

Parla di Elio Petri,regista che oggi i giovani non conoscono. Un grande regista coi controcazzi,ma che purtroppo, come dice anche lui, avendo fatto film scomodi x quei tempi, è stato messo da parte e dimenticato. He worked with Titos communists forces in Yugoslavia, it was brutal, both sides did hideous things. The allies committed a fair few war crimes in the Balkan’s toward the end of the war especially sending 200,000 people to Stalin to be executed in operation Keelhaul. I don’t know what Christopher lees involvement was but it was likely nasty

Christopher Lee was always very reluctant to speak about his role in the war. But you can clearly understand that, after all he saw (and probably had to do during that terrible period), the man had turned into an humanist who valued life and despised violence / murder. I remembered an old interview he did in French in the 80ies. Denise Fabre, the French journalist, asked him if « Dracula was a great seducer ». Lee was quiet and gently answered, but you can see he was horrified / outraged by the question : « You know, Vlad Tepes was a mass murderer. He was named « Vlad the impaler », and there was a good reason for that. » It was the answer of a gentleman who had to look into the worst horrors ever, and turned himself into a better man
I don't think he was a humanist in the traditional sense, being a Christian. Humanism is a philosophical stance that emphasizes the individual and social potential, and agency of human beings, whom it considers the starting point for serious moral and philosophical inquiry. It's not always concerned with doing good, and in recent history usually doesn't acknowledge or accept any higher power.
When he mentions that he was in ww2 his eyes reveal some dark things.
