    People who use Rapeat between Osaka and KIX is more than who use Haruka. By the way, you want you to introduce Haruka’s advantage.

    Thank you for sharing the very nice view! I will check it out as I will be traveling there. I am confused about how you were able to get off the train and get on a different train at Obasute headed for Nagano. If a train like the Shinano comes every hour, did you wait an hour for the next train to come?

    Very happy to have found your channel! We are coming to Japan from Canada in April and so excited! My thinking would be Osaka - Kyoto - Kanazawa - Nagoya - Tokyo. Do you think this is ok / doable with the train system?

  • @howtotravelinjapan8189
    @howtotravelinjapan81896 ай бұрын

    Thank you for watching. There is no problem with the system. However, there will be some changes to the limited express service from Kyoto to Kanazawa due to the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen extension in March 2024, so please be careful.

  • @howtotravelinjapan8189

    Apple Pay Suica is also available! However, even on JR lines, there are some sections on local lines where you cannot use Suika, so I recommend that you check in advance which sections you can use.

    @@sony3246 you have to book and pay it online at the JR train site, and it gives you a code to then pickup your ticket at the JR office at airport or Kyoto. Cost 2200. I didn't book it on the way in so had to pay 3400 at the JR office, so be sure to book online and save a bit

    650 yen is the price of the discounted ticket sold on the online site (e5489). And in addition to this 650 yen ticket, you will also need to pay the basic fare. On Japanese railways, in addition to the basic fare required to pay for travel, you also need a limited express ticket to ride these limited express trains. This 650 yen ticket is only for the part of the ticket that is equivalent to a limited express ticket. As you said, the total cost of traveling to Kyoto will be around 2000 to 3000 yen.
