  04:41 having to do pupilage as a prerequisite for becoming an advocate, even under the Legal Practice Act, does not equate to having to join a bar. Under the LPA, you need to serve pupilage, complete 400 hours of structured coursework, pass the bar exams and be fit and proper. Joining a bar is not a prerequisite.

  Hi Sinaloa, thank you for the insightful content. My question is can advocates work in the private sector after being in the public sector? How does it work, I keep seeing on social media that if you want to be an attorney at a Big Law firm then you should start there (private), because they do not take attorney’s from public, is it true?

  Hello thank you so much for sharing such informative knowledge to us. Can you kindly please help me with a few questions. Firstly, I am a Unisa student and I am really getting disheartened and demotivated due to hearing other channels badly representing unisa n discouraging us due to our institution, in your honest opinion, do you know anyone in the recent years who has succeeded to becoming an advocate through unisa? Also, which routes can you recommend a student to take if in search of mentors to guide them? I have had quite bad encounters on KZread which make me feel ashamed of my current studies as I'm mostly watching videos were we made a mockery. Naturally I'm not one to take offence but for some reason its kind of hard hearing a person who is literally pursuing your dream job disparaging your efforts in reaching a goal you have wished for your whole life. I for one have my own reasons of registering in unisa and a person who does not study at unisa will never understand how hard n stressful it is. Can you please host at least a panel of 2 unisa alumnus one who was part of unisa before online studies commences n one student who studied via online. Sorry for pouring my heart like this I guess I have been bottling this in. Thank you so much❤

  Thank you for this great content but while ones is doing their application to the bar, what would be the reasons as to why their application would be denied?.And I understand that one does pupillage without pay but is there some sort of insensitive that the bar can provide you with should financial assistance is required and could you please do a more in depth video of what the application to advocacy intels .
