CrankyLockPicker

CrankyLockPicker

I am a Lock Sporter in the UK - I am slightly odd and proud of it!

My videos are real life and I don’t restart if I fail to pick it first time. I want to show beginners in a realistic way.. some locks do take longer to open and they don’t always just pop open!

I have got a lot of support from the community and I want to thank everybody for this.

I work full time but will upload videos when I can.

If you like watching someone attempt to pick locks & speak in a camp Yorkshire accent.. your in the right place.

I hope you like and please subscribe!

Have Fun and Take Care ⭐️

Nice one Cranks. I would add, anyone buying comb picks should get them to a banch-grinder and thin them out a bit. Not too much so they snap, but enough to increase the amount of padlocks you'll open with them. And that's a natty handle. Hope you're well, son.

Wild 😲 OK, would not have guessed that, but I had that issue once when trying to create a challenge lock... Only then the pins would not go in the bible holes as well 😅 With pinstack 1 being this short in total you might be able to open it without any picking? just a tensioner inserted carefully without touching anything?

Very interesting especially after seeing the guts 🤔 would have expected very long key pins in 2-5, or very short keypins plus very short drivers. Neither is the case... I will have a look in the follow up 😅

Well that is mystery solved. The driver spools not going into the core means that there is no pin there to stop rotation of the core. So there is no need to also pick the corresponding key pins as they are well under the shear line. On those pins it is like there is no pin there at all. the first pin really is the only pin needed picked. the sixth pin needed the jiggle is perhaps because the driver spool was slightly domed and thus slightly entered the core chamber. This lock looks like it has been worked on in the past. There would be no way this would have been pinned from the factory. That core has been messed with and not in a good way. Also the bible chambers seem to be wider than the core chambers hence why the spools are able to fit into the bible. Makes me wonder if the bible and the core have come from two different locks. Would be interesting to compare it to another American core and bible. This lock could well have been Frankensteined. Thanks for doing this follow up video. Cheers

Oh wow, so wait does that mean that the others don't ever go down under the shear line? So only picking pin one on this lock? That's totally wild. I think MyLoks is right. I'd say that someone replaced those with the wrong sized pins. No wonder you're cranky, Cranky. I'd be cranky too! Lol. Mystery solved at least. 🥰😍😘😘

I think at some point that lock has had a gutting disaster and the original top pins were lost. Pins from a federal, master lock or American 1100 will fit.

Hello, I got mine from Ali Express but you can get them from other sellers. It’s Lishi AM5 2 in 1 pick. The Lishi tools are not universal, you need to know the keyway first and then make sure you order the correct Lishi for that keyway. LockPickingLegend has published videos on Lishi picks. If you search Lishi Pick on YT I’m sure you will find others. Thanks for watching ⭐️

Sweet! A chubb! Look at that beefy. Shackle! Great demonstration of a lishi Pick! That was a sweet trick! Is it because the middle pins are basically no lift. Or are lock tolerances that terrible😳. Be damnear like a brinks😜. That was awesome!

Firstly the odd thing to me is using a AN5 to pick a chubb. Never knew chubb had an American keyway. Secondly I recon the blade of the pick is lifting pins to shear or close to shear and the slight jiggle is bringing them up to shear. However that doesn't explain pin 1 and pin two which both look like they needed picking and pin 6 needed slight picking. However the 3 4 and 5 looked like they would be high lifts so that also doesn't explain what is going on. I would need to see the pins seated in the chamber of the core and have the top pins put on them to be able to judge whether any of what I have mentioned may be the case. Also with the pins in the core you can put the lishi in and see how it lifts the pins. Cheers
