  It's not that you need to be bIood to be family. It's just that bIood matters more. Take me and my aunts for example. My mom has one sister and two sister-in-laws, and we spend much more time with her sister than her in-laws. My mom travels with her sis, not the other aunts. They and my younger sister traveled out of state to visit the girl's boyfriend. My aunt was there for said sister's graduation. And she traveled with us to my older sister's graduation from college and, a few years later, her wedding out of state. We don't hang out with my uncles' wives much, because they're just the in-laws. If it weren't for my uncles, we wouldn't be family with the marital aunts. And that's the other thing: my older sister got divorced, so now I have no relation to her ex-husband. My sister, my bIood, my old brother-in-law, their old marriage. And one day my younger sister might marry her boyfriend, and we'll ONLY be family through her. If they get divorced too, no familial relation then. I'm sorry, but bIood does go first in family. In-laws are JUST in-laws. By marriage is JUST by marriage. My bIood aunt goes first, my marital aunts go after.

  Ok i know that everyone will hate on me now but i think Lorelai Is a little bit toxic as a mother. It's like Lorelai wants to be friend with her daughter and she behave like Rory and she are accomplices. This doesn't mean that she doesn't love Rory or that she cant hug her or have fun with her but i think that mother love and friendship love should be distinct. I mean, it's pretty obvious that It is a bit distopic as a plot

  Fun fact: I was talking to my mom about guys she used to date and she was telling me about this one guy and I asked her what his name was and she said Kirk. I was laughing for 10 minutes STRAIGHT.😂😂😂
