  Glad to have you all back. I can't believe they found his pacemaker and in that condition. His skull may have been farther up, especially if he was going for high ground to get a view. Or, more likely, a larger carion nutrient animal may have taken it, while still attached to his torso or by itself. Vultures in particular will carry the head of a dead animal away, as it has a lot of soft tissue (eyes, nose, cheeks, etc) and the brain is rich in certain nutrients not found in abundance in the rest of an animal. Many times it is a free for all and it is an easy compact piece to fly off or run off with and not have to fight any further. These animals are not dumb, when it comes to such things, due to thousands of years of instinct. They would look at our bodies no differently. I hate saying these things; but it should be taken into consideration. I hope it is found; to give the family some more closure.
