    Only just found these videos. I really like them. Especially useful are the exercises, and he often tells us what NOT to do. That's brilliant

    This is so contrary to Argentine tango. In ballroom move away from each other as if repelled, in real Tango it's all about heart connections, the dancers embrace each other.

    Thank you! Very helpful seeing the detail of the step. This reinforces and complements my "in person" lessons. I hadn't really understood why it's a "Double" spin...hopefully I can now get a better rotation with this lovely step

    Thanks for the video. I am new to International Foxtrot and I know I am wrong, but it appears to me me that when you go from the Feather Step to the Open Telemark you rotate 180 deg. and subsequently traveling against the line of dance?

    hi, i don’t get one point. In the other video of back corte the lady moved her head to promenade position, and now it remains to the left like in spanish drag. how should it be then? are the two versions correct? many thanks!

  • @DanceSpiritClub

    Thank you for your question. Yes, there are two ways to position the lady's head: closed or open.

    Instruction is very simple basic movements = Perfect! I am able to explain my teacher and get feedback from her for items that maybe I thought I understood but not 100%. Even though I dance at a higher level. Winning competitions are still based on doing bronze level figures very well.

    Hi ! After a Spin Turn in QS, I sometimes do a Four Quick Run, and other times a Progressive Chassé. How does the lady understands that the man is going to do a Four Quick Run and not a Progressive Chassé (and vice versa)? Any help would be appreciated! Love your Videos!

  • @DanceSpiritClub
    @DanceSpiritClub8 ай бұрын

    Thank you for your comment.and watching ours videos. After Spin Turn in Quickstep it's better to dance Progressive Chasse, because after Spin we don't have enough speed and momentum to dance Four Quick Run. We would recommend to dance Four Quick Run after Quick Open Reverse. Hope it's helpful.

    If you have taken ballet classes where your ballet instructor taught you the "soutenu" turns, the Rumba Spiral turn is a sort of "slow soutenu turn" like the ballet counterpart. The Three Step Turn is often used in Samba (for the follower especially) in the Rolling of the Arm, and just before the entry to the Same Foot Reverse Turn R Shadow Roll.

    Great video. Recent studies have shown engaging in social dancing has been suggested as a potentially safe, enjoyable, and effective alternative to traditional physical exercise and may contribute to preventing cognitive decline and reducing the risk of Alzheimer's disease.
