  Fortifying Ingots can only be earned on Frenzy Level 2 or 3. After you find one, Berna (the Armorer) will talk to you about Fortification. After that, you'll need to upgrade your armor to Defense Level 3 and Effect Level 3 before you can fortify it to a higher tier.

  I'm not sure of the frame data but I feel like transitioning from a shotgun blast into mortar strike can be done faster if you press space midway of the dodge.

  Yes, most player animations in Rotwood can be animation cancelled (usually with dodge, but sometimes with other attacks). For the cannon's heavy attack (shotgun blast), you can animation cancel into a plant on frame 7 or into another heavy attack (i.e. air blast) on frame 5.

  If you lag while recording gameplay, you're likely GPU or CPU bound (depending on what video encoder you're using). So, you may need to upgrade your PC. Alternatively, you can try a different video encoder to see if it improves your performance. What encoders are available to you depends on your hardware; the most common options are: x264 (CPU), NVENC (Nvidia GPU), H264 (AMD GPU), or AV1 (newer Nvidia/AMD GPUs).

  Thanks for such a complete guide! Theblong arm of the claw is great, when fully upgraded, it's focus damage surpases even non-upgraded weapons from the third level. I like that they aren't straight upgrades in every way making the older ones useless.

  No tier list planned atm as weapons are still being adjusted during Early Access. Right now, weapons from the later stages (Blisterbane Bog & The Molded Grave) are simply better due to the fact that each weapon can only be upgraded to Attack Level 3. You simply lose out on too much DPS if you use weapons from earlier stages (Great Rotwood Forest & Nocturne Grove) on later stages. However, the devs did announce yesterday that next week's patch will allow you to tier up weapons (and armor) once you've upgraded it to Attack (Defense for armor) & Effect Level 3. So, weapons from earlier stages will then be able to do similar damage as those from later stages. Once that launches, weapon tiers would be based on passives and skills. Regardless, I think the Hail of Gory will still be the best cannon as the Cluster Shot passive allows you to Cluster Shot 6 times per reload while each Cluster Bomb (9 per Cluster Shot at max effect level) gives crazy hitstun and high DPS when they all hit. Also of note, the devs mentioned the Floracrane Divebeak's skill (of the Beakon of Hurt cannon) will be nerfed soon. So, you likely won't be able to spam / animation cancel that skill like we can now. Thanks for the suggestion.

  Hey Noodles! Nice work and I really like your guides! About the Heavy Spinning Lariat, may I add that in order to get the extra tier 1 hit from the beginning of the combo, you need to be in front or vertically aligned with your target(s). A bit hard to explain, but I uploaded a demonstration here (1st half 4-hits, 2nd half 3-hits): kzread.info/dash/bejne/iaxtuZN9qsXMiJc.html edit: after a few more tries and adjustments, it seems possible to get yet another (focus) hit if the full combo ends right on top or slightly behind the target. This 2nd extra hit (guaranteed focus) comes before the final Focus Hit of the Spinning Lariat and uses the 2nd tier modifier.

  Yeah, hitboxes are a little finicky for the Heavy Spinning Lariat. I wasn't able to get a 5th hit in my testing, but was able to semi-consistently get 4 hits. In hindsight, I should've left the headings as tiers (instead of hit #) in the top right hand corner info card. For each hitbox the lariat contacts, there is a frame delay after each lariat loop (8 > 10 > 10) for when it can do damage to that hitbox again. So, it might just be tight timing or potentially some overlapping hitbox shenanigans.

  The Kingswand is a possible reward for completing Mew Game or Mew Game+. The gear you receive will depend on the number of active Meowdifiers when completing Mew Game or Mew Game+: - 1 Active Meowdifier - One random First King Set item (Level 5) - 2 Active Meowdifiers - One random First King Set item (Level 10) - 3 Active Meowdifiers - One random First King Set item (Level 15) - 4 Active Meowdifiers - One random First King Set item (Level 20) - 5 Active Meowdifiers - First King's Raiment (Level 30) - 6 Active Meowdifiers - First King's Crown (Level 30) - 7 Active Meowdifiers - The Kingswand (Level 30) - 8 Active Meowdifiers - The Kingsblade II (Level 1) The possible random First King Set items are: (1) First King's Raiment; (2) First King's Crown; and (3) The Kingswand. For reference, Kingsblade II can only be received for completing the game with all 8 Meowdifiers active.

  This build requires a fully upgraded Snortoise Armour (100% Weapon Damage when landing), Bulbin Buddy (120% Weapon Damage + Knockback on dodge), Splatshot (100% slower Hitstreak decay & high base damage), and an overall Heavy Weight (to enable the Power Class). Since we're only dodging, a fully upgraded Yammo Elasti-Shorts (40% Damage Resistance when not attacking) helps improve survivability. Together, this allows every Power Class dodge / hop to deal 179 + 214 = 393 base damage! This damage is further increased when critting and/or combined with powers.

  Concentrated Cure (Heal 5 HP on Focus Hit Kill or on Break Environmental Props) was picked in Chamber 5 (See 03:55), and upgraded in Chamber 11 to Heal 10 HP (See 07:23). Then, Morale Booster (Heal 10 HP on Critical Hit) was picked up in Chamber 17 (See 11:05) and immediately upgraded to Heal 20 HP (See 11:22). A fully charged Floracrane's Divebeak counts as Focus Hit damage. And this build gives the skill a 60% Crit Chance. So, I can heal when I do a Crit or when I kill something / break environmental props.

  This build requires a fully upgraded Floracrane gear set: Floracrane Garland (+50% Crit Damage), Raiments (+15% Crit Chance), Skirt (+30% Skill Crit Chance), and The Grand Finale (+15% Crit Chance). Together, this gives the Floracrane's Divebeak Skill a 60% Crit Chance and +50% Crit Damage. And results in the skill doing 1560 AOE Crit Damage! To spam this skill, you need to dodge cancel out of the end animation. Note: "The Grand Finale" hammer weapon can technically be swapped out with the "Belle of the Ball" striker weapon. This will result in the Floracrane's Divebeak Skill doing 1950 AOE Crit Damage!

  The "Barbed Pike" spear gives you an extended multi-thrust. To do so, hold Heavy Attack at the end of your multi-thrust combo (L L H H). See 18:40 for the Barbed Pike weapon card.

  These runs were all completed on vanilla. No mods/patches were used. You can get an element prefix on a Bee if you get lucky and find one with a Maliwan Capacitor.

  Yes, it would be easier / faster to have on-level gear. But, it would've taken too much time to re-farm all my gear each time I went up an OP level.
