Storm footage from the central Kentucky area as well as videos of other interests of mine as in Crystal collection, Mines, Ham Radio anything really LOL Enjoy... If your expecting extreme weather videos you will be dissapointed as this is Kentucky.. we do get some but its normally typical severe kinda stuff...

This young man is very smart and obviously driving trains will be his destiny. Easy to see you were so excited and had bonded very quickly with the driver. Cheerish the moment, work hard to make it happen. I hope I live long enough to see you in the seat of your dream job. Cheers from a yoti in Australia 👍😁
super nice
Sheldon would be Jealous. 😀
His happiness made me very happy 😊
Hey your awesome keep trying new things your very smart young man you will succeed in life just don't give up 💪
La vida tiene mas sentido cuando se hacen cosas extraordinarias, y este chico realmente hizo algo extraordinario, después de todo,¿cuántos manejan un tren?. Pocos en la inmensidad numérica de la humanidad.
Thrill of a lifetime for him! ! !
La joie et l’excitation se vois parfaitement sur le visage de ce très jeune conducteur....Quel moment cela a dû être pour lui !!!!!! BRAVO ....LIKE .... The joy and excitement is perfectly visible on the face of this very young driver....What a moment that must have been for him!!!!!! BRAVO….LIKE….
Most people will never have that moment very lucky young man you are .im happy for you from del mar CA jim. Ps i love it when the conductor says dont make any sudden turns and i see that big smile cool video
Your a lovely kid,,,,, I hope you had a great day, xx❤
My dad showed me the train he worked on back in 1970. Will never forget that. Kids having lots of fun.
This is a COOL KID right here!!! I'd like to just ride on an old steam engine before I die. But trains of any type are just cool.
I also would like to ride in the cab of a steam train before I start pushing up daisies.
That is So Awesome that You got to learn about Locamotives & the conductor letting You have a feel of what it's like to operate one. Glad You had alot of fun, it will be a Great memory to cherish & even pass on to Your little ones when that time comes. Best Wishes to You!🙏♥️
cool
Spectacular 🌌 🔭 👌
Just for context I try to reply to y’all’s comments cause I was the kid in the video! But I did love this moment and I will never forget it. The crew were super friendly to me and treated me like I was a very important part to the operation of the whole thing! The conductor was my favorite guy he gave me a tour of the locomotive shop and let me on the front of the locomotive while it was moving and he told me “ I usually don’t let people do it. But you are special your a vip” his exact words very awesome people and I give respect for there volunteering when they don’t have to!
you did well
Bravo.....LIKE.....
Well done young man, you will remember this train experience the rest of your life 👍 Au
That's so cool you got to do that. Stay on-track :3
I saw myself in that young fellow. Made me remember my first cab ride on the Central Vermont between Palmer and White River Jct, VT and back when I was 16 years old. And then the first time an engineer put me in the seat to run.
Kid gets to piot a 3000 HP locomotive and can't leave his phone alone.
He was recording a hugely important exciting moment to treasure. Get a life
@@greerbox My bad. Just a general commentary. Shouldn't have been so specific. Seems like a really cool kid.
@@innernouterI can be cool sometimes lol
I was recording the moment 😊I like having memory’s . That my dream job for Norfolk southern…
@@Railfan6708 Looks like you're well on your way. Good luck!
How can they see in the direction the train is going when it's going backwards?
If you listen the guy on the radio is calling out markers as they go.. he's on the back car of the train telling the driver where that side of the train is . And would mention any obstructions on the track
@@K4SWX Thanks for the explanation. I was wondering if this was a vintage locomotive. I was looking for something like a rear view video like a dashcam. Sorry I'm getting up in years and can't make out what's being said on the radio. (One reason I'm no longer active in ham radio -- yes I recognized that you have a ham call. I'm in VE7 land)
@@jetstream6389no problem it's an emd gp8 built 1968-72
@@K4SWX I looked it up to see photos of the GP8. Similar shape to the Baldwin locomotives that CP Rail used on Vancouver Island(Esquimalt & Nanaimo) decades ago. They were used between 1949 and 1975.
You got it fixed?
Alright Nice 😂!,0:17
How the hell can I do this?!
You should experience the "Fahrschul-Simulator" of Germany´s Big *___LUCA___* KZreadr, too --- absolutely !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wow was ist das traum mal mit fahren und auch aleine fahren mit aufsicht hammer 73 de DE2TRF
These two are generations apart and have so much in common and respect for each other, it's wonderful to watch. The older engineer is looking at himself decades ago.
Gotta unseen manning video.
I know how that kid feels. Glad to see him having the best time!
That is one happy kid
Awesome job
That kid will cherish this time driving a train engine. One lucky dude..
Another classic example of casual fire fighting, with lots of bosses and guys standing around itching and scratching. Is there a water shortage in the area?
Brasil 🇧🇷🇧🇷
That sound is amazing 🤩
That was cool to see, hope you learned some valuable points about safety restrictions and driving fundamentals.
@@MultiMusicianman I already know everything about how to drive them to being able to start one so I all I need to learn is the stuff in training on 4 years
@@Railfan6708 Very Good, you will make a wonderful Engineer some day, good luck with your future. let us know when you pass, it would be cool to see the Certificate or what ever you get for it. Definitely Bragging rights, LOL
@@MultiMusicianman thank you so much for this kind comment this has made my day ten times better and have a 10x boost to keep going strong for that goal❤️
@@MultiMusicianman I hope I’ll be the nicest engineer they’ve ever had . I’ll buy t-shirts , hats , NS vests , different train merchandise. Even as a conductor I’m pretty sure they have a horn button on there side so I’ll ask the engineer if I could blow the horn for the railfans I’ll strive to be the nicest railroad worker on this planet even if It kills me as a human I will.
@@Railfan6708 That is awesome! I am sure you will succeed.
Railways -lots of waiting around
Put your phone in your pocket kid. Enjoy the moment!
@@danielscholl7116 I did , I wanted to have a memory !
I was recording it
@@Railfan6708 The young man was recording his train journey 👍 Au
Lucky kid! He will remember and cherish this moment for the rest of his life.
Yes I will . First train ever that I drove
Greatvideo watching from canada
I did this when i was 16 at the Western Pacific Railroad Museum in Portola, CA. Now i do it for a living for BNSF, and 10 years later it's still fun with a full freight train behind me going up and down mountains.
Wow that seems amazing. It’s my dream to become a engineer for Norfolk southern ( if you know who they are ) My grandpa works on trains so he’s a huge inspiration
@Railfan6708 Haha I do know who they are. I say if you have a dream, pursue it. Apply as a conductor trainee, then build your seniority and promote to engineer. It's a great job.
Congratulations 🇧🇷
What an experience!
I did the same thing around his age, was nervous as hell complete with some sweaty ass palms
it sure is different from a car
I want to be next at the throttle of the Railroad Locomotive 🚂!

Wow so cool he is a lucky dude
Yes sir I was
What is your name boy?
The same as yours Caleb
Love armchair chiefs. NOT!
One question ... Why you did not move for 12 minutes? You give us the same view, the same action for 12 minutes. Very bizarre!
@gillesrenaud6926 not many angles to choose from. Can't see from all sides. Only other side that could see from was under the electric wires with a ladder hanging off them . Also large trees blocking veiw from further away and further left.
Wow what a blaze! Entering the fray as the trucks sounded get out! Power lines coming down! Fighting the fire outside the building is tough but safer for the FD. I never second guess the Captains orders.
Doubt anyone commenting here was at this fire or knew what the IC’s plan was. If there were FFs doing an internal attack then using an elevated stream could subject those members to being steam scalded - no thanks. We only got to see two sides of the bldg so without knowing the variables it’s conjecture at best. I know three things for certain, the roof needs replacing, Lexington Fire has nice equipment & last, the ladder involved with the power line isn’t going to pass inspection. Hope those residents had renters insurance, it’s cheap comparatively speaking and will protect you from someone else’s bad day.
@mikehoysler4322 there are 2 buildings in a square patern entry splits east west with small courtyard in between. Side facing man o war was involved. They had 2 ladder trucks on my side a 3rd ladder on the opposite side with engines feeding them. They were fighting it internal until I got there then they pulled crews out. Shortly thereafter the ff dropped the ladder on powerlines can't really say anything else I'm not a firefighter. Can't hear what they are discussing via scanner so I your alls guesses are as good as mine. I just filmed it so for those that want to criticize the vid just move along lol
