Scale Hangar 182

Scale Hangar 182

Howdy! I'm Dawid and welcome to Scale Hangar 182. I make scale modelling videos!
Mostly I enjoy building weathered aircraft stuff!

This channel is my journey...
I started recording model build videos to practice video editing, track my own progress and to share a few videos with my frinds. I never expected this to grow any larger than maybe 100 subscribers but here we are, few years later with over 100.000 subscribers and now doing what I love for a living!
Thank you very much for this opportunity and all the support!

If you would like to support me a little more, you can join my patreon on patreon.com/scalehangar182 - There you can find all work in progress photos of my current and past builds. I normally post there all my work in progress stuff and your name will be shown at the end of my videos!

I've never gotten into W40k, too much overt religion in there for me. But I don't have anything against it. I did wonder why no one has ever done any of the "Hammer's Slammers" universe, which is much more pure military science fiction. That would be much easier now, with 3D printers being much more mainstream. But it's certainly a fine model!

  • @ScaleHangar182

Never heard of "Hammer's Slammers" to be honest. I started playing 40k around 2 months ago

Look into the Tau, they are all about "the greater good". Most of the overt religiousness is solely held by the Imperium

@@ScaleHangar182 It was a series of books written by well-known SF author David Drake. The basic premise was that humankind had determined that war was just too expensive when waged planet against planet, so they would hire professional mercenary companies to fight their battles, and then basically abided by the outcome of the battle. Kind of like drawing for high card.

@@tjh44961 Sounds good. But am not sure what the problem is with "overt religiousness" in a fictional world. It's just a abletop toy soldiers game

@@ScaleHangar182 I've never played the game, I've just seen some of the animated videos online, which is what triggered my comment. But this is not the platform for my views on organized religion, and I will not force them on anyone. Just keep building your amazing models, and I will keep watching.

I love your buildup of layers in the weathering. There is so much character and life in this piece. As a 40k fan, I understand that your audience is more army scale modellers, but It would be nice to see more 40k stuff in the future. It would be cool to see your take on say a Leviathan Dreadnought or any dreadnought for that matter.

Very nice. I used to have a platoon of those (U.S. Army, no rails along the side for packs, and only the .50-cal). The two things missing are the floor covered with boxes of ammo in their wooden crates (two metal boxes per crate), and in front of the Track Commander's (T.C.) 'seat' (23:11) - which we stood on - were the radios. Which is how I busted my knee and it still clicks.

So, i must ask, 2 years later, im interested in the tabletop scale print of the red rocket, but its still way to expensive to make it? the walls are solid printable walls? have you revised the option of make it?. Thanks in advance.

  • @ScaleHangar182
    @ScaleHangar18225 күн бұрын

You can make walls hollow but a little bit I guess. The cheapest option would be to print it on fdm 3d printer. Preferably some new fdm printer has the quality is better
