    They gave it a much softer ride and not really sure what their secret recipe is but hands down it is the best riding bike I have put through the paces of being a daily bike. It feels like it responds faster to the terrain without over reacting.

    My 24 300 rr race edition has been a awesome bike so fat. Way better bike then my 23 300 sherco 300. My beta does not have that emobilization next to the clutch lever tho.. 🤷‍♂️. I got it in January.

    Can you explain the difference between the large adjustment springs? In the bike is the red outer adjustment spring and a white auxiliary spring, and with the bike includes a green outer adjustment spring. I picked up an axillary spring kit and I understand the colors there but not for the large outer adjustment springs. The green outer adjustment springs appears to be softer than the red outer adjustment spring. So confused....

  • @jne232
    @jne232Ай бұрын

    Tried the green outer adjustment spring. Appears to be MUCH lighter than the red outer adjustment spring. Seriously aggressive now. Had to back in the adjustment screw to add more preload. Wow, the green adjustment spring is the way to go. Kept the white axillary spring.

    You’re on the absolute wrong bike for this type of slow riding. It’s a race edition for a reason. Should have went with the RR that comes with a way softer suspension for weekend warriors. Race edition is meant for hard core fast riding and hard enduro comps.

    Knarly vs Ibex any opinions??

  • @EnduroWiki
    @EnduroWiki4 ай бұрын

    Both great tires, Ibex does slightly better in wet and lasts a bit longer than the knarly. But does not hook up on rocks like the knarly does. Knarly is the ultra super soft gummy compound when you need to try and crawl up an oak tree. Gauntlet is the third sister to this equation and is the other portion of the venn diagram.

    Seriously when was the last time anyone foweld a plug on anything newer than a 2010 model? If you’re fowling plugs your bike is so poorly tuned you should not be allowed to ride. My 23 300 has a removable exhaust port as well. These bikes are perfect for 90% of the public out of the box. Beyond excellent.

  • @EnduroWiki
    @EnduroWiki5 ай бұрын

    Yes I use my middle so I can keep index ring pinky and thumb to retain a strong bite on the bars. I have my lever in towards the bar center to help facilitate that. Something I think may have come from old-school BMX days. I do often swap from middle to index when one gets tired as we do a lot of slipping.

    Im a first beta bike owner and can't believe how great it is to ride. Im new to the sport. If yamaha had an electric start on the 250x, i would've bought it, but it didn't. I wanted to buy a sherco 250 factory, but the dealer had a replica bike with some dudes name and number on it, so i couldn't. Tried to buy a beta 250re, but dealer mislabled a rr bike. So said to hell with it, I'll get a 2023 200re beta because that was the only race edition they had. Couldn't be happier. Everyone said the kyb suspension was stiff. Im with gear 195ish. Suspension is mint. Love it.

    No, it's not just valving, it's the springs and the whole package. My mate has the Yamaha with KYB, I rode that many times and that set up is great. I bought a Beta RE with the alleged KYB, I ended up having to spent stupid $$ on them to get it right, and in the end, it wasn't much better than the previous set I had with WP. @@ephriamjudah1056

  • @utahdesertrider1806
    @utahdesertrider18064 ай бұрын

    A-kit is not a stock suspension term. If you want an A-kit you have to pay for it through a pro level suspension tuner. The benefit is that the KYB is considered the best stock fork you can get. In stock form it’s better than most weekend guys have ever ridden. Go pay 1,500 for your A-kit tuning front and back. But most weekend guys don’t need that

  • @philipsmith6152
    @philipsmith61524 ай бұрын

    The A-Kit is my terminology...What I meant was you don't get the same set up in Beta/Sherco etc, you get in Yamaha. I've riden all of them, and owned a beta RE, the Yamaha KYB set up is far superior in stock trim, the others are not much better than WP imho. @@utahdesertrider1806
