Your tinted brake lights are illegal in California as they reduce the amount of light emitted and change the color. You must keep all lighting in good working order which means they must stay DOT compliant as well as compliant with the Ca vehicle code. The stop was legal. Asking you to get out the car is legal. As per the patdown, thats a two prong test. You need to be detained plus the officer has to have a belief you might be armed or present a danger. You were detained as for his belief you might be armed would have to be answered by him. I could speculate your bulky clothing, possible gang tattoos and clothing could have raised that suspicion. You're 35 😮and still dumb. North Merced used to not be a place for Surenos. Things must have changed. Glad Im out of there.
