  Had mine fall off my boat during a hurricane and pulled it up with a fishing magnet the next morning and it will still intact no corrosion just went through and greased every single component. Awesome reel

  Depends on how often you fish. If you fish often,it's better to get high end gear,so it'll last you. Gears between $100-$300 would be good. If you're a big game fish angler u want heavier duty gears- like $1000 reels
